Official Tennessee v. Mississippi State game thread / 6:07pm EST / ESPN

Lesson learned for about the 13th time this year. Stop taking time out of my day to watch this team play.

Tournament isn't gone and that was definitely a walk there at the end. Refs stole that one. However, Miss State should never have been in it at the end.

I figured he called the timeout to tell them what to do after the intentional FT miss.

Cam has morphed into the worst player we trot out there and we left the only shooter on their team wide open all day. How any of it is justified baffles me. There just isn't that much to do in preparing for MSU and we didn't.

Bad loss.

Agreed. I think they will make the tournament, but games like this almost make me wish this team would not get rewarded with a tournament spot. They simply do not deserve it. That was absolutely pathetic.

Let them hang around? We never had a double digit lead. This game was close from start to finish. You guys must have watched a different game.

I don't think you have to worry about that. 13 losses isn't getting in the tourney (and we are losing to UK).

From top-to-bottom, it appeared nobody cared. We were listless. Hell, even the fans (like usual) didn't care. The difference, however, was that they were actually called out by the announcers. The arena oozoed a sense of complacency, and the outcome supported that.

Cam hasn't even been a decent option since early January.

when u cant hit threes don't take so many per game..one of the reason we are a good offensive rebounding team is because we throw up the worst shots in the country and it surprises teams.

You make a plan for a miss or a make. It didn't have anything to do with the outcome. Outhustled and the team played with the energy of the crowd.

There's a difference between having the ball at half court with 1.5 seconds and taking the ball 90 feet with 4 seconds. Even though with this team, we basically end up with the same shot either way.

Are you really blaming the crowd for leaving Augustus and Johnson open all freaking night?

It has nothing to do with caring. This is the 29th game we've played. We just aren't that good. We can care all we want, but when it comes down to it, we have 1 player who can score consistently and a bunch of other ones who come and go.

Just like we were going to lose at Vandy. If you've watched this team at all this season, you should know one thing: never assume anything. We could easily lose at South Carolina and then come back and beat Kentucky. It's just that this team plays hard when they want to play hard.

The 11 trips in a row wit quick 3s had to make Stansbury smile.

Great job by Williams...leaving his man for a guy that was falling to the ground. Maybe too many blounts before the game, who knows.
