Official Thread of the LSU game....

I thought we played well enough to win, a few pics and turnovers from strips and such. Our inability to stop the run must be addressed, hopefully Marvin Austin seen how much he could help us and keeps us near the top of his list. Overall Im proud that our team kept clawing back, and we just have to get ready for the running backs from Arkansas. No reason to cry over spilled milk.

By the way, the blown call at the end from the Russell fumble really stings.

The line blocks, and he gets a good run!!!! What a concept!!!

Good running backs don't need the line to hit on every little clyinder to get 4 yards. The only way Foster gets 4 yards is if everything is cleared out and is clear as day for him.

Im not saying the offensive line is great but I'm sorry Foster is not a good running back. He'd be a back up in any other SEC school, and really truthfully is our backup.

It seems our backs want to dance before they hit the hole. Why on earth are we trying to turn the corner against LSU their lb's are to fast.

I'm not saying that they need to block lights out, either. One or two blocks would be better than what we have right now.

I guess what he did last year means absolutely nothing. That offensive line wasn't good, but it was 5 times better than this one, and he was very good last year.

I said it again and again and I'm not comming off of it. Foster is not good. He is hesitant and thinks to much instead of running the ball.

One of his only runs that was anything other than run think about it then stoped for a 1 yard run was on where the hole was big enough to run a family of 5 with a dog through.

He's not good. <-------My opinion.

You're entitled to yours.
Man, i have been screaming this at the t.v. all night. He never never never busts it up the middle. He is always looking to kick it outside. Way to hesitant.

We need Coker badly.

Anybody else suddenly go from "just want to see a good game" to "it's Hog-guttin' time" over the USC-UA game in the last 10 minutes?

We have not had a good RB since Travis Henry & Travis Stephens

Great play with Foster he pops it out side.....If he hits the gas and balls out he has an easy 5-6 yards.....instead he drop steps and looks towards the inside or trys to fake someone out...and ends of with a 2-3 yard gain.

Thats not a good running back. Good running backs get every potentional yard and the great ones do that and create more. Foster doesn't give us that. I know the line isn't great but it doesn't help that our running back is below average too.

Anybody who is not a VOL could say it was a great game to watch.

For VOL fans, it leaves us asking about the fake punt and conversion on 4th and long.

How did the defense not see that coming. In a game that is on the line???????

Check this Crompton running over that guy tonight showed me more want to and balls than Foster has showed me all year.

Thats sad on Foster's part.

in that play, if you watch, we dropped completely back. Not only were we not thinking about the fake, we werent even thinking about blocking it. That call was all try to set up a good return, which is a lack of imagination by the coaches.

right now i would have to give the hogs the edge next week they are at home and have something to play for.

I agree that its going to be a difficult game......My statement has more to do with Hog's cowardice and lack of class than anything else......its the SEC anybody can beat anybody every week as we have seen time after time.....u have to bring a good effort every week

Well considering that we cant stop the run we should be VERY worried about Ark.

Les is not a better coach. I've watched him and his coaches are by far better than he is. They recruit in a very fertile area and he's the beneficiary of that, not to mention that LSU is the BIG school in the area.

As someone said earlier, UT was beaten by the lack of coverage by the secondary.

I'd go with all of the above: Les Miles' coaching team, which he heads, outcoached Phillip Fulmer's coaching team, which he... well, let's just say there were head-problems on that side of the field.

Les & staff showed lots of confidence and handled things better overall. Phillip & staff acted just as mentally uncertain and (oh no! we're stuck with a backup QB!) as the UT D did all night.

Though the buck stops at the top, it's probably fairer to say that LSU's coaching was much better tonight than UT's.
