I still wonder what the line-up will look like. Will Freese be around? And they'll have to figure out if they want to keep Beltran. I know with what we have coming up there's not really room for him, but it's hard to push off a guy that's clutch. But he's probably not going to want a 1 year deal. Thought I heard he'll be hoping for a 5 year deal with someone.

Pitching staff looks very strong.

5 years with a different team. Any aging player is going to want a longer contract. But he knows the Cardinals aren't going to do that. Most everyone figured this would be it for Beltran in St Louis, but earlier in the season Mozeliak said he wouldn't automatically rule it out. If they did try to re-sign him, I can't see it being for more than 1 year.

I looked around and found where he said he hopes to play for 3 more years. Either way, the Cardinals aren't going to do that contract.
