First inning disaster, Atlanta in reverse. Putting a rookie starter in that position is tough. Fielding, OMG.

Great season, played tough with a lot of things that need fixing. Edman, Flaherty, Hudson, all great rookie seasons.
Carpenter, Fowler, Mikolas, not so much. Martinez is a head case. Need another big, or consistent bat (keep Ozuna as well), starter, and relief ace at the very least if the Cards want to be in the Series to compete with those they beat and those who are left.

They finished better than I thought they would, TBH.

The Cardinals with no movement of a big bat is puzzling to me, if you’re a Cardinal fan? We may need two big bats to help out.

rockies want Flaherty and the lefty that the Birds picked up in a pretty good deal with Rays. supposedly Jack's a deal-breaker, as is Dylan Carlson
Hudson, bader might be place to start.
Fowler, Carp have no-trade clauses, and I can't see Carp accepting OF or utility role.

New to VN and had wondered if there was place for a Cardinal fan since Gibson years. Like you helped me locate.

Just hope the Birds will stop overpaying for relievers.

At last a haven from the Brave('s). New World.. Didn't know this thread exited until tonight or would have been here sooner. Fan since since listening to KMOX from East Tennessee East in early 60s. Saw first STL game in Sportsman Park with Gibson on mound. Reds pounded him, but he hung in and even homered in something like an 11-8 victory. Have been visiting STL regularly since 2000 when son enrolled in Wash U grad scho ol. First grandchild born there in 2016 on a day Lance Lynn would like to forget.
