Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

There’s another double for him. This season has been frustrating but Carlson has been one of the few bright spots. The kid can play!
Yea, he seems like just quietly doing it though. To me, it seems like he doesn’t get the media attention much, but I could be wrong. Just quietly doing the little things to be a great player and the rookie of the year.

It’s almost time to get rid of some of those expiring contracts a little early.

In related news, Nogowski was traded to the Pirates today for cash.
Yea, I agree. You can still rebuild this team at the trade deadline. All it takes is a little work to bring in a couple of veterans. Do we get rid of our batting coach now? Nogowski for cash is interesting. I wonder if Mo is working on bringing in some veterans? Would a veteran good big bat spark this team, or would it take a veteran bat and veteran pitcher to try and get them started?

I was taken a look around the Chicago Cubs if they sell at the deadline. You have Baez, Rizzo, Bryant. Miami Marlins you have Starling Marte. Rockies you have Trevor Story and Charlie Blackmon. Well! Pitching you have Max, that Texas Rangers dude, can’t remember his name, and I wouldn’t know of any others. Would you take anyone from Chicago, like Beaz? Rizzo? Bryant? What about 2nd base?

Oh man! What can we do now? How can we change this offense, and get it going? What’s causing us not to score runs? We have five days to try and fix it at the all-star break. We have to get it right, or this season is gone.

this is the worst stretch ive been through while visiting STL. Not say i.m a jinx ...
No, you’re not. You’re just visiting your family, and yea, this was a rough stretch. We won today and beat the Giants. People keep saying that we are a talented baseball team, and we looked like it today We played the Giants tough, and I believe we have been playing a little better in a week.I think Bader put a little spark in there, and I hope it continues. I’m telling you, from my opinion and side, get a veteran batter, pitcher, and maybe a good reliever this team could be put together just right. I feel we are right on the edge with a big bat and a pitcher.

Well! That’s good to go back to St. Louis again. I’m planning to go to a game or two here soon. I just don’t know which one yet. My sister and her family that lives up there, she said that she would go with me, so that’ll be nice.

If you would’ve told me that we were in third place right now after all of we have been through, then I’d have said no way. Just nine games out doesn’t feel like a lot right now, it actually feels closer than that for some reason.

Ummmm! Ok!!! 2 out 3 from the giants? Well!!! Unbelievable! This feels like early May again when they were having fun and had the best record in baseball before things went sour. From early May, then the struggling, then this playing close games in Colorado and now this, there is a strange feeling in the air with this team. If we can sustain this, and then go into the weekend with the Cubs and pick up some wins there, then we can relax during the all star break feeling pretty good. All I want to do if we can is get at least get 4 out of 6 and we have the first two. If we can get more, then let’s get em.

We need help. I can’t express it enough. We need a veteran batter, sp, and a reliever. All needs to be veterans. Got to get some people back and get going.

I’ve never seen a pitching rotation so decimated by injuries. Waino is the only opening day rotation guy left.
I haven’t either. We’re down to 4. Danny Mac said that we’re going to have to go out and get a sp tonight. Here is what is making me so mad at the post game show though. They keep saying Goldy and Arenado is going to have to get hot, and keep it going. Well that’s fine and dandy, but them and yadi can’t do it alone, they are going to have to go and get a veteran batter that can help them out. I’m not really mad at them, but to me, they keep saying it and I feel like they are doing their best with the circumstances of the team.

We are either tired, intimidated, or just plain can’t beat the Cubs. We looked uninterested in today’s game. No fire, spark, or giddy up at all. What’s is going on.
