Official Watch Party Thread (NCAAT seeding edition)

Also I don't understand how Houston is #4 in the NET. They have as many Quad 1 wins as 0-23 Delaware State. #285 ranked Cal State Bakersfield has even managed to get a Quad 1 win. They are 0-3 vs. Quad 1…does this make sense to anybody else?

It’s an index, so you get the Quad tiers out of the index rankings. Houston is high because they played a decent non-conference schedule, beat a few on neutral sites, only lost once at home, and beaten conference teams by wide margins. They should be no less than a 4 seed.

you stated Iowa hadn’t beaten a single ranked team, that is the very definition of false.
I stated one truth and one false, I first stated that another top ten team lost away from home and you came in and white knighted for the big ten…that’s the truth lol

Ok man, if facts are white knighting so be it…I think most agree I wear orange glasses but goodness you take it to a whole different level.

Kind of a random one, but we should cheer for Xavier over St. John’s tonight. St. John’s is currently #75 in the NET, 1 spot over Colorado. If we could just get the Buffs to get their chin over the bar here we get another Q1 win.
Update now that the NET includes last night’s games…

Good news is that Colorado moved into the top 75, so we gained a Q1 win.

Bad news is that it was at the expense of Vandy, so we then lost a Q1 win. They can creep back in though.

No I think you assume I do, I just put more weight on our results this year because I believe the SEC is the best basketball conference this year and this might be the first time that has ever happened perception wise

And I don’t believe I’ve ever said it wasn’t or should be disregarded, but when you say things that aren’t true like “Iowa hasn’t beaten a ranked team” or “Road wins against Top 25 teams are far and few between” I’m going to call it out as being false, which it is. You can make the point you are trying to make, which is that you think Tennessee has a great resume, without trying to stretch the truth/distort facts/lie.

Pinson didn't even have the ball any more and Williams slid under him, but Williams drew the charge. Bullsh!t, imo

If they called everything a block on Williams from Arkansas every time, they would be closer to making the right call
I repeat: refs need to use Williams as an example of blocks because they apparently aren’t seeing it. He fouls out like every game

I don’t know if refs just see his body hit the floor and assume it’s a charge or what. He must be getting 80% of these to go his way regardless of how this looks

That Williams is rewarded for this **** is the real embarrassment. You can tell players know the drill and pull up hard on these floaters but he's still rewarded for sliding underneath and flopping with minimal contact as the offensive player simply tries to land. Horrible look for the officials and the sport.

Molinar just called for a really dumb technical. Very soft contact after the whistle. Ball don’t lie. Jabari Smith misses one FT.
