Something clicked with Rickea Jackson toward the end of the regular season, and Tennessee is reaping the benefits. Perhaps it's the sense of urgency that her collegiate career is coming to an end or that the games are bigger, but Jackson, already an All-American, has taken her game to another level. Her 26 points in 29 minutes against Green Bay mark the sixth time in the last seven games she has scored 22 points or more. Jackson's elevation has the Lady Vols' offense clicking better than it has all season. As a result, Tennessee emerged as one of the most impressive teams of the opening round. The Lady Vols' 58.7% field goal shooting was a season high, and they did it against a Phoenix team that yields its opponents 38.7% on the season.

100%. I really like the LVs odds against NCST. Rickea is playing great; You know the ole saying, if you don't make AA, become the NCAA tournament MVP!


Spear has found her groove; Puckett has been playing her best ball of the season. Tess is shooting well. Powell has been making better decisions and not forcing things as much while bringing her usual amount of high energy, Hopefully, Tamari and Jillian can pick it up a bit. The quality of post play will need to go up in these likely match-ups (with Brink or Crooks potentially on the horizon).

My only real concerns 1) the LVs have one of those abysmal shooting nights and 2) they start slow (as they have been prone to do). But, I think they are posed for "run".

MTSU almost always does the right thing on both ends. They just don’t have the athleticism, and it shows against teams like LSU.

ESPN douses Lobo and Rowe like parsley all over March Madness. Lobo breaks out in hives when she has to compliment any team other than UCONn. And Holly getting starry eyed by these white players lighting up college basketball at the detriment of other talented players taking a backseat. (No I’m not being racist). Before Catlin it was Plum,Ionesco, Siegriest, Katie Lou.

That play MTSU just ran for the Gregory 3 is bringing back nightmares from our loss to them. They must've run it two dozen times and we never adjusted. Here's hoping LSU takes the same approach.
