They've got a lot of wins but no real "quality" non conference wins. Unless you count Georgia and Austin Peay... Mizzou and UNLV crushed em and they lost by a point on the road to San Diego St.

I think Cal is probably safe. A loss at Stanford is not the end of the world, and they'd probably face them again in the conference tournament with a loss today. Can't hurt to root for more losses though. If the Vols end up with 8 top 100 wins, it would be 2 more than Cal, which is a positive.

Cal @ Stanford game im kind of stuck on...

Cal is around a 10 and Washington an 11, thats 2 pac12 teams getting in.

i guess root against Cal, root against them in the Pac12 tourney, and root for Washington???

basically just hope only either Cal or Washington get in from the Pac12.

yea thats how im gonna play it.

root against them, but the if they do W it doesnt hurt TN, and if they lose, we need another loss from them for it really to do much for us.

oh well, i enjoy picking sides.

If you guys are really looking for a game to root for later, pull for Middle Tennesse in the Sun Belt tournament. It'll be better for everyone if they win the Sun Belt tourney. They'd probably be out with a loss to Arkansas State tonight, but the fewer teams in the at large picture, the better.

exactly as you said. they arent in if they lose tonight so it really has no effect on us.
