i heard someone, or read it im not sure which...that tennessee could be one of the lowest rpi teams to ever get in. i believe a 73 has gotten in before, and thats when the field was 64

but point being, and as you have pointed out, the RPI is so hard to move up at this point in the season. our resume, and our recent success is more than tournament worthy imo, and apparently most agree with how many are starting to jump on the bandwagon.

win 2 and i dont think the rpi will really even matter, imo we'll be in. i even think with 1 win we would still be considered but at that point itd be a toss up.

be cheering for drexel tomorrow to beat VCU.

VCU may still get in, BUT i think if VCU wins both get in, if drexel wins it may just be Drexel.

So be rooting for Drexel.

Sweet relief this is nice. New to the BB side of the Vols and BB in general. Thank you and keep up the work. Makes it easier for an amateur like myself to keep up.

RPI reminds me of grades. Say you have a "c" in a class and you want to bump it to a "B" or even an "A." Its going to take substantial effort and consistency to get that grade. You could make a couple of great wins but given the spot youre working from it may take more. What it seems like anyways. You would think beating a 19 would get more than that.

Funny thing about Cal losing is that the loss just gave them another top 100 RPI win, since Stanford moved up to 94. Hopefully it's not an issue but Pittsburgh is sitting at #98, and if they creep lower, some committee member could potentially counter with "the Vols have 5 sub-100 losses" instead of 4.

maybe im biased but goly, i swear we'd beat the $h!t out of a lot of these teams ive watched today.

we just have to get in. we get in and i think depending on the draw can definitely make it out of the 1st round. JMO.

You're right, it's not bias. But hey, it's always better to be playing really well entering the tournament than to be reeling. Can't erase the beginning of the season, so you said it... Just have to get in.

i think it just depends on all these conference tournaments and what all the other bubble teams do.

if we win 1, and alot of the other bubble teams lose a game, and no little schools take an auto and in effect cost us an at large i think we will get in. i definitely think we'll still be considered a bubble team by winning just 1.

win 2 and i think that it is a lock.

you are right, we could beat the **** out of a lot of teams.......we are currently playing at a top 30 or so level, maybe higher on a neutral court.

i honestly think we are playing top 20 basketball right now. unfortunately the early season keeps us from being ranked up there in the rankings or in seeding, but we are playing top 20 ball imo.

if we can get a decent draw in the dance, we can make noise, im telling ya!
