Played it. Beat it but don’t remember much other than it was different and pretty cool.
It's definitely different. It has that Shadow of the Colossus feel to me. Not that the game play is similar, but that there's nothing else quite like it. I'm really impressed with what a small studio did there. The whole solar system is just such a clockwork of stuff. I also went into it not knowing anything and the first time I got 22 minutes into a run, the hook blindsided me.

Not sure if they're still available but I got an email from Microsoft about 4 hours ago saying they had series x bundles ready to go.

So I had a total WTF am I doing moment today. My kid is home sick today and I am home to take care of her. She is on the couch in front of the TV my Xbox is hooked up to. I have been using the cloud gaming service on my console and phone lately. So I decided to try it on my tablet. I wanted to use a controller instead of touch controls, and had a couple of dual shock 4s laying around. So I paired them up to the tab and they work like a charm. I am now playing Microsoft cloud games, on and Android tablet, using a PlayStation controller. The weirdest part is how seamless it all was lol.

Walmart had series xs available last week. Regularly priced sold by Walmart. Not a 3rd party seller or marked up. I ordered one.

Yesterday I get the email that my order is delayed. I wonder if they sold more than they had in stock and now I'd have to wait till they get more in?

Probably. It took about 5-6 weeks when I bought my PS5 from them to get it.

Finally ordered a Series X and it should be delivered today. I traded in my Switch, games, accessories and didn't pay a penny out of pocket. I literally hadn't touched my Switch since 2019 other than the Metroid Dread demo, so I wasn't really sad to let it go. I will give MS yet another chance to show me they can consistently release high quality exclusives. I'm encouraged with the trailer of Hellblade 2 and I'm intrigued with what Starfield is. I'm also looking forward to learning more about the Indiana Jones game and of course I'll be there day one for the new Elder Scrolls game (whenever that happens). My son wants it primarily to play Roblox, lol.

Well my $hitty luck with MS products continues!

I get it all hooked up, turn it on, aaaaand my controller WILL NOT sync with the console! Works fine while connected via USB, but as soon as I unplug it the system does not find it! And before anyone suggests anything, I DID do the following...

1. Made sure it had fresh batteries
2. Made sure the latest controller update was downloaded
3. Tried to sync it by pressing the button on the controller and on the system itself.

For whatever reason it just will not sync wirelessly at all!

Hmm thats odd. Try either doing a hard reset (hold power button for 10 seconds) or go into settings>general>power mode and startup>full shutdown. And leave it unplugged for 10 minutes.

Well, I had to return my XSX today and get a refund. Turns out the sensor on the console was faulty and would not detect the controller. I tried 2 different controllers and it wouldn't detect either one of them. Now the wait for more consoles to become available continues.

My track record with Xbox consoles is unbelievably bad. I had two OG Xbox consoles die on me, I had a red ring of death X360, and now this one. My original "VCR" Xbox One is the only one that never gave me any trouble.

Could you not have went through Microsoft and swapped it? It has a warranty.

Found myself with a little extra cash on hand, thinking about getting a S. I have a mid-range gaming PC and a switch (which I want to love, but it's really become a niche device for me). Considering mainly for next-gen versions of Madden/2K (somehow not available on PC hopefully will be this year) and currently unavailable to me UFC/NHL/The Show. Think the sports are worth the purchase? I have access to pretty much every other major title besides those right now.

Next gen 2k is dog ****, if you're a mycareer player. That game mode has really gone off the rails.

I mainly play MyLeague, I love the customization they give you. I always thought MyCareer kinda sucked.

Besides not liking that mode, any other feedback on the next gen sports titles?

I think Madden is going the right direction. I have actually enjoyed Madden more than 2k this year. MLB the show is probably the best of the sports titles right now, but there is a learning curve.

Didnt want to make a whole new thread, but MS is releasing their Xcloud for Samsung 2022 smart tvs (to start with). I think this is an incredible step to get Xbox software in homes. I have used Xcloud with my phone (with a backbone controller) for a good bit of gamepass games and even on 5G the games play smooth and crisp. Service starts 30June and only 1080P 60FPS right now, but the potential for this service is incredible right now.

I tried Xcloud out on my phone, specifically Forza Horizon 5. Let's just say I'm in NO HURRY for an all streaming future!

You must have played it on a potato and noone is suggesting an ALL streaming future.

I guarantee you platform providers would LOVE an all streaming future. It would eliminate the expense of R&D'ing and manufacturing new consoles, they would have complete control over their libraries, and 100% of their userbase would be on a constant recurring revenue stream with subscriptions.

And I am decidedly not running on a potato. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and I was running on my home wifi, which I live in Chattanooga and I use 1gb EPB fiber optic, which is considered one of the fastest internet providers in the country. I mean, I wouldn't say it was unplayable but its still no comparison to playing natively.
