Outside of bringing in Passley and Childress from UW-M, who did he sign with offer lists like this class?

I'm no Pearlophile and I am not trying to stir the pot. I am just having trouble remembering anyone outside of Marquis Johnson and Josh Tabb who had less than stellar offer lists, and both still had major conference offers.

Skylar McBee?

And I'm pretty sure no one of relevance in college basketball was after Melvin Goins or Brian Williams.

Interesting considering Artis Gilmore remains the NBA's career leader in field goal percentage with a 59.9 percentage.

I believe Steve Johnson has the single season COLLEGE record: 74.6%. Dale Ellis hit over 65% once and over 60% another time, all while being double and triple teamed. I'm not impressed with 57% from a 6'10" high school player. (I'm not saying he's not a great player -- I have no idea whatsoever -- just that that particular stat isn't great.)

MVC talent wont work here. You saw what happened when we gave McBrick and Pearl significant playing time. This is the big time cuonzo not the Missouri Valley.

I agree. I think my remark was taken as sarcasm.
Maybe he'll get better as a senior.

Would you rather play with 7 scholarship players next year? Maybe this class would have looked a little less grim if your idol had signed anyone besides the most overrated player in the country and another one who won't qualify.

This Martin recruiting class is most likely better than Pearls first........just saying give him a chance. It's late in the recruiting game .

It is absolutely better than Pearl's first class.

We lost Tyler Smith when we let Buzz go, and we lost Adonis Thomas when we let Bruce go... The talent coming in, IMO is pretty comparable to Bruce's first class. Its all about year two for CCM IMO.

Here's to hoping Adonis wants to come to Knoxville after seeing how CCM's team plays and xfer's... (please note intended sarcasm and that tongue is firmly in cheek)

I would take this class any day over Pearl's first class. However, only time will give us the answer.

Hahahahahaha.

Guess who brought McBrick and Pearl on and gave them major minutes, genius?

Also, the only player Pearl brought to UT the year he was hired was Ryan Childress, who had signed with Milwaukee until Pearl left. And he lost Buzz's top recruit, Tyler Smith.

Comparing Pearl 1st to Zo's is retarded...when Pearl took over our avg. attendance was like 7k
now its closer to 20k...and we have had consecutive tourney invites

Its just going to take me some time to change my way of thinking regarding the b-ball program....6 straight tourney invites.....a few McDonalds AA's....I thought we were in a better position than we really were i guess

Thomas committed to Memphis 5 months before Pearl was fired. Where is this coming from?

Adonis committed to Memphis after the Pearl situation started. We were still in the running and some even said we were leading at that time.

We're still in it for Stokes. Not leading anymore, but at least he is still going to give CCM and staff a chance.

Might want to recheck your numbers:
Tennessee's attendance average dipped to 12,225 in Buzz Peterson's final season - the lowest average in the history of Thompson-Boling Arena - the Vols could still say they were 20th in the nation in attendance
