Tennessee will look to get good news on the recruiting front later today as offensive lineman William Satterwhite is the next Vol target to come off the board. Satterwhite has played this close to the vest and has kept everyone guessing, especially at the first of the week. While it wouldn't be surprising for another twist or turn in this one given the way it has played out, there is reason for optimism from the Tennessee side heading into the announcement later in the day. We expect the announcement to come on social media sometime this afternoon.

From here there is plenty still up in the air. There are several prospects we feel good about but in all honesty and in the spirit of full transparency there are no locks to Tennessee. All the talk of silent commits in late June is just talk. Nobody left on the board has told Tennessee they are in the boat and just waiting to announce. That doesn’t mean we think the sky is falling because we don’t but there are no guarantees with those coming off the board in the coming weeks ahead. Again, there are many we feel good about Tennessee’s chances with but that’s far from a ‘Hubbs-50 gif.’

What about Heard? We got Bussell and Trevor Duncan last year. How come every OL that gets here it is immediately assumed that they have to play on the interior?

Ginger could potentially be a RT. Probably better at guard.

Heard is talented but a raw project.

Duncan is starting on defense.

Satterwhite is likely a center.

Perry is a guard.

We don’t have nearly enough tackles for the near to medium term. Should get good news on Satt today.. good win that looked dicey earlier this week but missing in Warren would be very tough. Maybe most important recruit left imo.

Evened the score.. ha. We have taken over Clemson after they previously had our number on the trail and the field.

This kid has a real chance to be our starting C as a freshmen, prob not likely, but definitely a great opportunity.

I doubt it, I feel like theres a good chance CM comes back for his covid year, or Nichols is the C, either one imo

We lead but Michigan has thrown a wrench into what was his pending announcement by worrying his mom about the quality of our Kinesiology program which is what he passionately wants to study. His mom is a professor at Rice which is a high academic school so they have similar priorities to a Dobbs family.

We need to get he and Donde on the phone with them to calm this down and get him in the boat officially.

I have an Outsider telling me that “Satterwhite” sounds enough like “satellite” that Charlie Ergen may be swooping in and offering a huge Dish Network NIL deal.
