Oh Yeah, He showed us

That's an odd comment. 1st of all, you've changed your original comment. Your original comment separated "more explosive" and "better with the ball in his hands" into 2 separate sentences. Now you're saying "more explosive with the ball in his hands". So is Hyatt not getting credit for his explosiveness before catching the ball? Like, it's just pure coincidence that he repeatedly got behind Alabama's secondary? I think this Kentucky kid is probably better than we're giving him credit for, but it's hard to argue he's even close to being in the conversation with Hyatt based on stats. He's not even the leading receiver on their team.

Hyatt: 40 catches, 769 yards, 19.2 YPC, 12 TD's
Brown: 24 catches, 350 yards, 14.6 YPC, 2 TD's
I feel like the nerdy kid on a playground who’s getting picked on by all the bullies because he looks and acts different. 😂

I’m not changing anything. I was extremely impressed with #2 when I watched UK. Y’all are the ones who drug Hyatt into this. All I’m saying is Brown is the most explosive SEC player I’ve seen this season, other than Gibbs. Take it with a grain of salt you won’t hurt my feelings.

I’m not going to entertain a comparison in stats of a player at Kentucky to a player in the best offense in college football. They are in completely different offenses.

He can make a play. But, when Slaughter catches him coming across the middle one time....

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!

Then, Brown proceeds to cry like a brownie girl scout.
I do hope we have someone who prevents him from having the biggest game of his young career

I know he isn't from Tennessee, but somewhat surprised there was no mention of Dee Beckwith. Anyone know how he is doing this year? If I remember correctly, UK was really excited to have taken Dee from UT.

No, they weren't. I infrequently lurk in Wildcat Lair, and the general comments about Dee were ho hum, at least he was added depth. Otherwise, nothing special.

This sums up my guess on this guys statement.

Delusion of grandeur- a person's belief that they are someone other than who they are, such as a supernatural figure or a celebrity. A delusion of grandeur may also be a belief that they have special abilities, possessions, or powers. Delusions are generally the result of a mental health disorder.

I guess in short he might need help.
Oh he’s going to need some help.

Ha - not trying to bully. I was genuinely curious. Hopefully we limit this kid on Saturday along with the rest of that offense and it turns into a stress-free night. I'm more nervous for this game than I'll be for Georgia just because of expectations.

That was Fulmer's fault. He basically told R. Cobb he was too small. Son Randall ran to Kentucky.
I thought the issue was over what position Cobb would play. During his high school recruitment, Cobb was insisting on playing QB. Fulmer played it straight with him, and told him that he would be a WR/KR at Tennessee. Therefore, Cobb went with the SEC program that promised him a chance to be QB.

At least, that is what I've always heard. You could be right, though.

what I've heard too.

I heard that too. However, Cobb himself claimed Fulmer told him he was too small. We may both be right, as he was just 5" 10", sort of Doug Flutie-ish.

He has 2 carries for 8 yards, both carries against Youngstown State. So that is 3 D1 staffs he has played for with very little production.

Berion Brown had 2 catches for 12 yards and 2 kick returns for a total of 26 yards.

It speaks volumes to the resiliency of this team, that they were able to weather the 38 all-purpose yards from this electrifying, freshman dynamo, and slay the Kentucky juggernaut.

Agree. Give the kid credit for being good. Likewise give our defense credit for not giving him a chance to get going. You know Kentucky wanted him to get the ball in his hands often.

But if he was talking about someone being mad at him then he is referring to many of his buddies because the Vols have a lot of connections with Pearl Cohn.

Never heard of this kid, but looked him up and it's a shame a top recruit would actually choose to be a wr at Kentucky. Must not be a very bright guy.

Reminds me that 5 star kid who went to Mizzou this last year..

I was being a smart a$$.

From what I've seen, I think Berion Brown is a better than average WR/KR. There was a poster in this thread over-hyping him just a bit last week. He is not the most explosive player in the SEC with the ball in his hands, as was claimed. I don't think he would have seen much action this season, if he had signed with Tennessee.

At this point he has to be considering the portal. Every year will look like this or worse if he stays.

what I heard three.

cobb still wanted to be a qb for the vols. besides a wildcat thing, cobb was not quarterback material.

kensucky lied to him just like they lie to everyone else.
Randall had the mental skill to play qb but lacked some of the physical attributes. A guy like him with the size and arm of Levis or Anthony Richardson could be an all-time great SEC qb.

I hadn’t either until I saw the UK/OM game. Not saying they’ll beat us, but you’ll know who he is after Saturday
Darn it.

Having played them, I _still_ don't know who this fella is.

Did he play last night?

Did you see him play, volfan_28? I want to hear how he did. Can you tell me about how he did? Was he the most explosive?

EDIT: I looked him up. 2 catches for 12 yards, if I found the right guy. Is that him? Barion Brown, right?

the kid had literally no idea what he was walking into

last year this time, he quit against little ole tullahoma. the coach had him sitting on the pine the whole second half. because he is soft between them ears
