Ohio State is the Most Delusional Fanbase in College Football

They are mad because we are 1-0 against them. They lost to us in Jan 1996 when they had an 11-1 record, three first round draft picks (Terry Glenn, Rickey Dudley, and Eddie George), the Heisman winner (George), Biletnikoff winner (Glenn), and Lombardi winner (Orlando Pace).

We had a really good team that year and finished 2 (coaches) and 3 (AP).

I’d be upset too if I thought our Heisman mattered, only to find out that the other team had a 5 time NFL MVP.

The moral is that kids win the heisman for being cute on the field. One wins NFL MVP’s for being great at their profession.

I mean honestly, can you blame them?

If we played in a crap conference where our only real competition was Bama and they beat us every year, eventually you would get tired of it and demand a coach who could beat Bama

The equivalent would have been Fulmer constantly losing to Florida in the 90s and winning every other game. Lord knows that got old.

Certainly wouldn't break my heart for the Suckeyes to go walking in the wilderness for a decade.
He’s lost to U of M three times. I get that it’s a weak conference, but they were a field goal away from a national championship two years ago (they would have steamrolled TCU), and now they want to fire a guy with a winning percentage of 87.5? It screams entitlement.

Can't argue with you there, just saying the parallels to Fulmer and Florida are kind of funky actually.

How many NCs would we have played for in the 90s if we even had a 50/50 split with Florida?

When you lose consistently to the only real team on your schedule, the leash probably gets pretty short.

My Dad's BF died yesterday, a hyooge Ohio State fan. For Chuck Thompson, R.I.P. :(

Condolences to your father on the loss of his friend

it does scream entitlement until you look at Ryan Day and realize he cant coach for crap. Hes been a great recruiter(who couldnt recruit to OSU?!), but his teams lack in the X's and O's department

OSU should move on from him, but that is why i hope they stick with him longer lol

Meeting them in the playoffs would be a dream come true. My hate for them is a little stronger than most having lived on Norris Lake my whole life.

The hour is upon us boys.

My birthday wish came true and I finally get to see the Suckeyes go against my beloved Vols for the first time in my life( (I wasn’t born yet the last time!).

Let’s see if all that practicing that the Suckeyes have been doing will pay off against a team fresh out of the SEC meat grinder.

Little late in this one, but The Game means everything to these people.

If Day loses to us in a couple of weeks, I’d say he gets fired for certain.

Their fans are up there at the top when it comes to most arrogant. I hope we come out of the gates clicking and never look back.

Oh buddy I couldn’t wish for anything more. To see the Suckeye faithful watch in silent horror as the Vols rip their hearts out in prime time would satiate me like a swimming pool in the Sahara.

I’m keeping all the receipts on this one. Ohio State fans are some salty people as of late but I guess that’s what getting your ass beat by Michigan multiple years in a row will do to you. How the mighty have fallen.

Maybe David should have chosen OSU instead because apparently these top recruits don’t commit to play the best competition, but to “practice” apparently 😂.

Cope harder, suckeyes.

To be fair, we are the same way when we lose recruits.

Yeah but these guys are pricks.

Well said! Lmao. I do think we have some fans that react badly when we lose a recruit (putting it mildly to say the least), but the Suckeyes have this “We crap and it’s made of gold” mentality that I cannot tolerate or stand and in my experience it is not isolated to their doings in football but also in real life.

If you don’t believe me, come on down to Norris Lake for a summer if you’d like to get some firsthand experience. They are easy to spot on Norris from their aura of arrogance and rudeness and being the most stuck up snobs on the water.

The Ohio Navy. I don't miss those days.

Proof positive: the worst turds float.

My company is based just out of Columbus, OH and we have a bunch of season tickets. I have been there 13 years.

Told my boss this morning that if the company has tickets and I don't get one of them, then expect my resignation.

Love this. "Fans" of other teams just don't get it. I am a grown man, and have been for almost 30 years (am 47) i was 21 when we won it all in 98. Then, we sucked for most of 20 years. 20. Hard. Years. Tennessee fans didnt quit. Kept wearing our Orange constantly, kept following recruiting, kept believing this coach was gonna be different...this season would be better. For 20 years. Zero fans lost. Now we finally made it to the Promised Land with Coach Josh "Moses" Heupel...and the sleeping dragon is awake. This staff is building a dynasty in Knoxville. The vast majority of us thought this was a rebuilding year at 8-4 or 9-3. Little did we know that we would have the best defense in the SEC. A championship defense. All we need is for the offense to execute and put up some points. We can probably win the Chip with 28 points per game honestly. Just enough offense to get our defense some rest and put pressure on the other team. Only UGA scored 28 or more on us this year...at 34...and they would. never have had time to do that if our offense didnt get completely shut out in the 2nd half. We just need a decent offense and we can beat anyone. Lets go punch OSU in the mouth and then watch them fold under the pressure. Our beloved VOLS can do it!

GO VOLS. WE BELIEVE 2024.
