If your season ticket holders were that supportive, there wouldn’t be that many tickets to buy on the secondary market.Fans will show up. It’s the largest fan base in college football.
Tenn fans being excited and buying tickets more than other opponents and OSU fans being supportive are not mutually exclusive.
Normal volume for us would be almost no available tickets if it were in Neyland. The ticket that were available would be very expensive. The demand for tickets at OSU isn’t there so the prices are falling.Nobody rides the coattails of the SEC lim
Ok that’s just your opinion. You have no idea what the normal volume is n
Your point was Texas ruled the SEC.
Texas lost in the championship game to a back up QB and a QB with one arm.
Ohio State is one of if not the most talented teams in the country BUT you have a mediocre coach. That would be exposed every week in the SEC. That’s not a knock on your program; I think if Ohio State ever gets an elite coach it will go on a dynasty run. Ryan Day isn’t good enough for that job.No my point was the dumb argument that OSU would be a random 8-9 win sec team is stupid. We are a touchdown plus favorite over a 10 win sec team. The top team in another conference coming to the sec and winning is another data point that the top teams could win anywhere.

Don’t swell that guys head anymore than it is. Half of my family is from Columbus (Buckeye fans) and they’re pricks too when it comes to talking football. UT is gonna punch this team in the mouth. It’s gonna happen and I’m gonna enjoy every minute of it.Ohio State is one of if not the most talented teams in the country BUT you have a mediocre coach. That would be exposed every week in the SEC. Vegas moves the line by money. Ohio State has probably the most fans nationally or close to it. I think both these teams are pretty evenly matched honestly. Then why are we more than a touchdown favorite by Vegas against you? Wouldn’t that imply that oddsmakers view us as the better team — a great team that win 10 games in the SEC?
About as likely as it was in Death Valley a few years ago.I don’t believe for a minute that their team is looking past UT. I think it is MUCH more likely to see an angry football team ready to protect their coach’s job and to show they are not the team that played poorly against UM. I have not liked this matchup from the beginning. If this was a home game for us, I think we could win a close one. But we have not looked sharp in road games against really good teams. OSU is very talented -
As talented or more talented than any team in the country.
Are their fans looking past UT? Maybe. But they are what, 2-10 against SEC teams?
Serious question - how likely is it our fans pack their place with 30,000?
AND WEAR ORANGE!I think everyone on the fence on going to this game needs to realize Ohio State doesn't respect our team and the also don't respect our fans. Several season ticket holders have already sold their tickets with confidence that other Buckeye fans will pick those up. They don't believe for a second our fans will brave the elements, the distance, or the hostile environment to support our team. They're sure their sorry fans will pack that stadium with that low rent Crimson color to support their team. They're taking that money from those ticket sales and booking flights to Pasadena, reserving rooms for their inevitable rematch with Oregon. Some commentators have said Tennessee is just "along for the ride" or "happy to be here'. I wonder if any senior in that lockerroom feels just happy to be there?
In 2022, a large contingent of Vol fans took over Death Valley after our team sent their sorry ass fans heading for the exit at halftime. LSU recruits at that game even commented on how well Tennessee traveled and supported their team. Let's do the same at the Shoe. Let's take over that stadium when our players send those fans packing at half time. It's the least we can do for our seniors like Coop, Bru, Omari, ONL, Pili, etc that have given so much for this team. This is a once in a lifetime chance to take over the shoe and beat that team in Columbus. When we win you will want to be there.
That statement makes every situation the same. It is not. Ohio State is still a one of Vegas best odds of the 12 teams to win it all. If that's not big enough to say a loss will have stinging consequences. People saying this is Tennessee's first appearance is true but timing is everything. Had this 12 team format happened in 2022 we are safely in and while we weren't as explosive with Milton as Hooker. Those wide outs showed out with Milton torching Vandy and then Clemson all without Jalin Hyatt who won the Biletnikoff. Had they been in he wouldn't have opted out. The point being is the the Playoff was expanded was (besides money) was plenty of teams had arguments why they shouldn't have been left out with only 4. In Heupels eyes the program is at sustain level not hey its a new high water mark look lets cherish this as we may never get here again.Deflecting because you can’t show anything to prove your point besides your opinion.
It’s our 6th playoff appearance. Any reasonable person would say it’s a bigger game for the team appearing for the first time.
