This could be literal?

In NOLA, both the drinks and the real things are very possible and dangerous. I’ve had multiple cab and Uber drivers tell us not to go past the Superdome on Canal after dark going away from the river. As long as you are aware of your surroundings you won’t put yourself in an uncomfortable situation. One thing is for sure, you see some weird ass people on Bourbon St and around Jackson Square.

Some New Orleans suggestions from someone whose daughter attended Tulane.

Cafe Du Monde for people watching
Central Grocery for muffulettas
Mother's (we go absolutely every time we're in town) for po boys
Dat Dog on Magazine for a fun cheap place
Cochon Butcher in the Warehouse District
WWII Museum
Acme Oyster House
The streetcar
Luke on St Charles

Definitely have some stories from Acme oyster house. I was in a high school marketing club, I was 17, I did my first oyster shooter, then chugged a huge beer, this is around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, received a round of applause from the patrons at the bar, as well from two cops who were standing in the doorway who had to have known I wasn’t close to 21. You really have to screw up to get arrested in New Orleans.

Cochon is terrific and the WWII Museum is very well done. If the line is too long at Acme, across the street Felix's is also good.

I always hit Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, tiny bar been around since the 1700s.

My family went during Jazz Fest last year. A lot of the restaurants had food booths setup in Jackson Square so you could walk around and buy samples. It was mostly inexpensive way to try all of them without having to go to each restaurant. It was phenomenal.

Also, check out Katie's. The Oyster Slessinger is one of the best things I've ever eaten. My wife gets queasy at the thought of Oysters. I ordered a dozen of the Oysters Slessinger and she had 6 of them down before I could ask her if she liked them.

Did anyone mention Commanders Palace? A New Orleans classic in the beautiful Garden District. Galatoires in the Quarter is another classic restaurant. The Quarter is fun as long as you stay away from the heart of Bourbon Street. Frenchmen street is good for live music.

Hot Springs, VA. The Homestead.

Not near as much to do as in Gatlinburg, but a beautiful little town. If you don't want to fork over the cash to stay in the hotel itself, the Vine Cottage Inn (a B&B) is amazing.
AsIde from air brushed t-shirts and swords, what the hell is their to do?

Oh, I second Savannah!!!
