Ok State and Iowa State

Voters aren't going to want a rematch. Voters especially aren't going to want to have to pick between an Oregon and Alabama rematch. You saw what happened in 2006; they'll vote up whoever they need to in an effort to prevent it. Picking Oklahoma with one bad loss will be easier than picking either and between Oregon or Alabama.

Michigan was off though for what, 2-3 weeks after the OSU game? Bama's off only about 1

Don't want bama to play LSU again. if you can't win your own division, with home field advantage, you can't play for the title. I don't care what else you did in the season.

Then Clemson should go the NC since their only lose was on the road, not at home or a neutral site.

OK.

Doesn't matter, they have just as much of an argument as anybody. The BCS is a farce, it seems like this crap happens every year.

Im starting to see Vertx point in OU. Thats not a rematch game.

Problem is, realistically without a ridiculous heavy push, OU needed ok st to still be ranked #2. They're not likely going to get enough push by beating a team ranked lower than them to jump 2 teams...even Oregon has a big gap to make up

For those of you who still carry that heaviest of heavy grudge against kiffin though, you're in luck. You'll probably get to a case of running up the score just for the sake of it.

Really kind of stupid that USC doesn't count at all in the computer's formula. Granted I can understand not ranking them since they can't make a bowl game, but just not including them only hurts the SOS and other ratings of the other teams in the conference

So as it stands you could have.

Oregon PAC champs -1 loss
Clemson ACC champs -1 loss
Oklahoma Big 12 champs -1 loss
UA champs of the state of Alabama - 1 loss

Roll Tide/War Eagle. it means something didnt you watch the ESPN show?

Some of the voters will telegraph their intentions this weekend. Alabama plays a I-AA team. Oregon plays USC. Oklahoma plays at a ranked Baylor team. Good time to jump somebody if you're thinking about doing it.

It should be possible for the voters to just look around, decide unanimously that LSU is the best team in the country, and give them the title rather than making them play any of these one-loss teams. (Again, in a couple of cases.)

Just don't see how Alabama can stay above a team(s) that has 1 more win and a conference title.

Wouldn't that be the objective of the BCS? Find the best team? LSU is the lone unbeaten case closed, good night.

Their gonna lose now.

A rematch was BS in 1996 and it would be BS again. I'd rather see Houston in if it comes down to it. No way LSU should have to play a team it's already beaten to win the title.

I thought the point is to put the two best teams in the nation against each other for the title?

There was no BCS when UF won in 06.

FsU beat them the last regular week. UF's championship week win over Alabama (45-30) put them at #3 and the sugar bowl choices/tie-ins put the ACC and SEC as a matchup in the same bowl...I.e. #1 FSU v #3 UF.

Arizona st (#2) lost in the rose bowl to #4 OSU, so when UF won, they jumped up to #1 in the polls.

For reference, UF lost to FSU 24-21 their first game and then beat FSU 52-20 in the Sugar bowl
