If the Ducks and the Sooners win their conference Bama shouldn't be in the talk.

I still don't understand this kind of logic. Oregon gets a pass for losing to the same LSU team Bama lost to because they are fortunate enough to play in another conference... I'm sorry but that is stupid. And this isn't meant to single you out, this is meant for everyone who thinks Oregon should go over Bama. Which apparently is a lot of people on this forum

Oregon scored a touchdown with 13 seconds left to make it 40-27 for the final score. They essentially lost by three touchdowns as they were down 20 virtually the entire 4th quarter. Alabama lost by 3 in overtime.

Seriously... everyone giving Oregon a pass over Alabama in a rematch because they don't play in the SEC West is ridiculous. Go ahead and give the spot to Oklahoma if they finish with one loss then. There is no way Oregon deserves to go over Alabama if those are the choices. Oregon should not be rewarded just because they got blown out by LSU out of conference

Why "should" it be?

Well, of course, IMO, but...

No one can beat LSU. Oregon had their shot and got laughed out of the building. We all know that an SEC team wins the NC, it's just a matter of whcih one.

I don't think anyone can beat Bama. Bama should have had LSU beat if they could have hit one of those stinking field goals. Then everyone would be sitting here saying, "LSU doesn't deserve another shot." I think the first game showed the top two teams in the country matched up perfectly and the earlier game showed that by going into overtime.

I don't care who plays LSU, if LSU beats Arkansas. What annoys the hell out of me is this is the same story every single year and the stupid media hypes it like things will be different. The Big 12 teams always put up huge numbers in a conference where no one can play defense. So ESPN hypes them up and says how they would like to see the high powered offense against the SEC defense blah blah blah...result..SEC team kicks Big 12 team in the mouth for 4 quarters. Now the Big 10 brings in a team that is stout on defense and once again ESPN touts the game as strength vs strength...Once again the SEC team runs past them for 4 quarters cause the slow kids in the Big 10 play with pianos on their backs.

Last year was the only shocker to me, I did think that Oregon could match up with Auburn's speed. They could at the skill positions but not the d line.

It doesn't matter who plays against LSU or even Bama, the SEC team will prevail because no conference outside the SEC can match up with the speed the defense in the SEC has.

Yes I know Ohio St beat Arkansas last year but seriously going 1-9 vs the SEC in bowl games isn't really having a break through, especially since you sold your sould to devil while traveling through Mississippi to do it
