OldTimer’s Dugout - General Topics, Chat, Random Photos and Memes.......No Politics

My grandma near Aiken made us cinnamon stickies. Pan grilled bread something. Need to make some phone calls to preserve that recipe. Same with the Christmas bourbon balls.

The stickies may have been something like fried beignets.

100 or so years ago, people ate the right way or the healthiest way in my opinion because the soil had minerals in it. People cooked with Iron and that's how they got their Iron and food wasn't fortified with it. No plastic wrap. No Tupperware etc.

One of my versions of mashed potatoes or potato chips is made with bacon fat that's been through a cheese cloth.

One of my mom's favorite gifts she's ever received was from me when I came across a set of Iron cookware.

One the best gifts I ever got my dad was a cookbook from the 1910's.

One of my favorite things to do last year was to cook old school during an NFL game/games.

My dad makes some kind of Hungarian pan fried bread thing that I can't pronounce or spell, that I like as well as stuffed peppers of Hungarian origin.

Anyway, I really, really hope you find the recipes you are looking for.

Found it!

OMG, I can't imagine how good those would taste with brown sugar!

I love anything with brown sugar (or molasses).

Today's commercials introduce you to diseases you didn't even know existed. I feel so healthy just watching TV nowadays
And the doctors prescribe pills now that the side effects will cause things to be worse.
I saw a commercial the other day that listed a bunch of bad side effects that would kill
an elephant if the elephant had that medical problem.
