Ha, the batter jumped in the dogpile with the pitcher and catcher, I love tball, except when I was coaching…..

Hadn’t seen a batter jump in like that!

It was funny when there was a hit and you’d tell the batter to ‘run to first,’ and he’d start towards third base- and I’d then tell him ‘run to the other first base.’

The barnstorming rule in which Ruth was suspended was removed by July 1922, but forced players on a World Series team to obtain the consent of the club president and then gain the permission of the commissioner before joining a tour.
New York Yankees great Babe Ruth was suspended for the first six weeks of the 1922 season after disobeying a major league rule against off season barnstorming. Though not as serious as Braun's 50 game suspension for alleged steroid use, Ruth's was every bit as newsworthy in 1921.
