So we got back to where we were.

Play them.

and what's boise's evidence they have tried to schedule these games? fresno state doesn't seem to have a problem scheduling major programs. why? because they don't demand a home and home. what's their incentive if they know they will be ranked top-10 anyway? win and sure maybe you have an outside shot at a bcs championship, but lose and you can't even make a bcs. don't play the game and you can get to the bcs and still claim superiority.

I dont know if Boise has tried to schedule them or not. If they have to have a home and home, thats still shouldnt be an issue for an SEC school to pay for.

Ive stated that TCU would more than likely have enough money that it wouldnt be an issue. I dont see anyone screaming from the hills to bring those little frogs into Neyland so we can whoop em'.

the average SEC school doesn't want a non conference game played in boise rather than selling 80K tickets at home.

Your point about them staying where they are and talking noise afterwards is valid though Droski. I can see that, but eventually you have to pay attention to these "small schools" that are ranked higher than the powerhouses of yesteryear.

In short, you have to beat good teams to be ranked that high at the end of the season. If that meant that Tennessee had to beat a Nationally ranked Directional Idaho School of the Blind to advance up the polls, I'd be for it. I dont care who they are or who the play. Until the ranking system gets fixed, it is what it is.

and until you take the human element out of it, you'll continue to see Notre Dame preseason ranked in the top 25 every year.

the problem with the polls is that you don't have to beat good teams to be ranked high. the pollsters have proven year after year that they will rank teams with better records well above teams with better resumes. this encourages the bcs teams (and mid majors) to schedule whatever joke teams they want.
