Ole Miss vs Vandy @ 9:15

2008 UT set offensive football back 80 years and Johnson still lost, and to a lame duck coach.

I remember the Vandymania crew made up a stupid "Hand off our Johnson" shirt when Vandy started 5-0, thinking Johnson was suddenly some hot name in coaching.

Yeah....that was cute.

Wait, no I don't get why you mentioned TN here:

The way you worded it (now that I see you're talking about 2008) makes it seem/sound like UT contributed to one of those 7 years that year. But they didn't, they beat Vandy that year; so why even mention them there in that context.

Bobby Johnson won 7 games in 2008. He lost six.

One of those losses was to Tennessee.

If he had had the opportunity to play a Tennessee team that was actively trying to get its coach fired, as James Franklin did last year, he probably would have had an extra win.

Does that make sense?

Did you just call a national championship coach and one who owned bama a lame duck coach?

What does any of that have to do with the fact that he was a lame duck when he coached against Vandy?

The fact he couldn't beat that UT team tells me all I need to know about Johnson.

2008 UT were terrible, but they played hard for their lame duck coach in the last couple games. 2012 UT shat in a bag and set it on fire for Derek Dooley.

It makes sense. I'm just saying the way you worded that part I quoted in the middle (of the post you just quoted) makes it sound like / comes across sounding like saying that Vandy won 7 games and UT was one of them.

(I get that you and I know they didn't; I also got and understood your point...just was pointing the wording had kind of left it open to misinterpretation.)
