Oliver is a VOL

3 stars per rival, 4 per scout. I can't find highlights of him, looks like he's going to be a safety in college.

Oliver should be nicknamed Houdini being he can slip through the smallest of places without being touched by the opposition. Even though he's not the biggest skilled athlete in the country, few have the talents of this remarkable football player. Even though the colleges tend to be recruiting him as a safety, he is an unbelievable running back. He is equally as effective running inside or outside. He can cut the isolation play back against the grain for big yards or bounce it all the way out to the perimeter then use his blazing speed to take it down the sideline. Sometimes can bust a run up the middle and go completely unscaved and often times maintains his balance when hit by would-be tacklers. Hits and spins for extras yardage showing great balance and body control. Can catch the football out of the backfield and turn a short reception into a homerun. Very light on his feet; his quick moves and agile feet often leave defenders flat on their face after they miss. Equally as talented as a return specialist. Shows a real burst in the openfield and makes his cuts going full speed. Reads his blocks well as a returner. Williams has great hips and can change direction in an instance. The colleges like him as a safety but I think it's going to be impossible to keep this talent from handling the football.-ESPN

Excellent pick up i would also like to see us get some D line prospects but I like the idea we are going after play makers early. I think the last couple of year we have went after the prototypical player this has hurts us. I like the idea we a going after the play makers that have preformed against top competition.

Read on another message board that Oliver wants to decommit or become a soft verbal, per his high school coach. Said he wants to visit Wake, BC, and Michigan.

Anyone here heard anything similar?

Yeah, i heard the same thing. Not too worried about it. I think he stays with us regardless. and if he doesn't, we have plenty of solid guys considering us.

get used to this... It's a long way until NSD and the fact that we have all these "commits" means that there will be tons of rumors about them wavering. Honestly, we'll probably lose a couple. However, with the way we're recruiting we could possibly land even bigger prospects to replace them.

This guy seems alot like Deshaun Barnes from a couple years ago

He is a high three star safety, that could become a 4 star.
we all thought the same about barnes

he committed to us then de-committed

lets just hope he doesnt end up like what Barnes did

bwt, what team is Barnes playing for now ??

Was Barnes the one that ended up at Auburn or was that someone else?
