Looks like we are going after talent to run and defend multi reciever sets. I say that because we will have tons of speed guys on both sides of the ball. Also guys like Rod Wilks moving to different positions so their speed will be a bigger asset. I would not be surprised if he(Wilks ) ends up as a LB.

Wilks has already been moved to LB.

It's been going on for years at Tennessee now.

Kevin Burnette came in as a safety.

Ryan Karl, a safety.

Two of Tennessee's starting LBs (Ellix and either McKenzie or Myers-White) will have been recruited as safeties coming out of high school or JUCO.

Walter Fisher came in as an undersized speed rusher at DE (he's now a DT)

Chris Walker came in as a LB.

Andre Mathis came in as a LB.

Ayers was a LB, too.

Ayers was a LB, too.

David Ligons was moved to OL from DE.
Mapu moved to DT from DE.
Antonio Gaines from RB to CB.
Dennis Rogan from RB to CB.
Tony McDaniel from DE to DT.
James Turner from RB to LB.
Jakouri Williams has been moved about 100 times.
Vlad Richards was moved from DE to DT to OG.

There's a ton more I could list. Tennessee is known for changing players positions to better suit the player.

Well he was from my high school, and I know that his senior year, he was projected as one of the top senior centers for the ensuing draft. Injuries hurt him something awful, though.

Sorry about that, you had the majority of those as "from-to" but that was "to-from". I just got confused on how you meant it to be read.

TB NYSHIER OLIVER (5-10/170), Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep
FARRELL'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CONSIDERING
: Notre Dame, Boston College, Tennessee, Rutgers, Wake Forest
PERFORMANCE: Oliver rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on eight carries in a 35-0 shutout of Plainfield (N.J.) High in a scrimmage.
STRENGTHS: Oliver has excellent burst and is a patient runner. He has good vision and isn't afraid to run inside. He is deceptively strong and can gain extra yardage after first contact. He flashed his speed to the outside on his touchdown run. He also played defense and was solid in coverage and is a physical tackler.
WEAKNESSES: Oliver doesn't have great size and likely can't handle 20-plus carries in college, which is why some schools are looking at him as a slot receiver and others want him as a cornerback. He doesn't catch the ball too often in the St. Peter's offense, so his hands could be a question mark. - M.F

Honestly anyone who decommits I dont want them. He has not put up anything close to impressive numbers this year. I hope he goes to ND. They are telling him that he is going to be a WR. We are in as good of shape with other athletes. The whole reason he decommited was because all the attention quit coming. The day he decommited ND offered. He just wants all eyes on him.

Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peters Preparatory DB Nyshier Oliver has picked Notre Dame, Scout.com reported. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound safety had originally committed to Tennessee, then changed his mind in August and reopened his recruiting.

Oliver took an official visit to Notre Dame the weekend of Sept. 12, and apparently enjoyed it. In recent weeks, he'd talked mostly about the Fighting Irish, Tennessee, Boston College, Michigan and Wake Forest.

He is Notre Dame's 15th commitment in the class of 2009, and he is rated a four-star prospect by Scout.com. As a junior, he had four interceptions, while also rushing for more than 1,400 yards and 24 touchdowns on offense.

“Just everything about the school (is what I liked),” Oliver told Scout.com. “The tradition. They’re on the rise right now and soon Notre Dame is going to be the place to be for student athletes around the country.”
