Kenbrell Thompkins.
Other than him, it seems like we arent going to pull someone who can score from anywhere on the field.

does anyone else get the feeling that we are going to Look like a slow methodical offense next yr?

any chance we can snatch up a Dejoshua Johnson, or a Chris Dunkley?

LV, You think he can house it from 80 on SEC opponents?
I watched the limited hilights i ccould get my hands on and he just doesnt appear to be pickin em up and puttin em down like I thought he could

...forgetting about Markeith Ambles are we?!

Ambles is Nice, but he doest not qualify as explosive, score from anywhere Wide receiver

Why does the 'explosive threat' have to be a wideout? Why not Brown or Oku? They both will be stronger, faster, and a year experienced next year.

Since we are losing 4/5 of our O-line, why not Douglas? He could be an explosive player next year at LT. Is a single 70 yard play more important than a series of 5 yard pickups off left tackle?

I realize Matt MIlton isn't exactly a big-name guy but he's a 6-6 athletic receiver. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him turn some explosive plays, especially since he is an EE and can have the extra time to learn the offense

i def. see what you're saying
But its so much easier to move the ball when the defense has to defend the entire football field, width and length out of respect for someone who can take one to the paint.

USC never had a expolsive threat at WR, during the Carroll Tenure. They always had guys like Mike Williams, Dominque Byrd, Dwayne Jarrett, Steve Smith, Keary Colbert. Fundamentally sound recievers.

Ahhh, the real question is: Could Coach Carroll's receivers have done as well as they have playing against SEC opponents on a weekly basis??

That is a very good question. I say yes, they would jump over all the CBs the SEC has. USC receivers are known for being very physical.

Still, we are left wondering two things:

1. Who gets the playmaker(s) the ball?
2. How do we protect said distributor?

40 times are irrelevant if we are discussing a series of patterns that are based upon a 3 step drop.

Without a functional O-line (which says something about the scholarship players behind the walk-on Sullins boys), we can't expect to enjoy the fruit of a playmaker's labor.

Anybody disagree???? If so, please renounce your understanding of the game of football :)

From what Ive seen, Meline doesnt play like a 4.3 but again, thats based on a very small sample of his work

What do we have left on the O-Line? Banking on freshman? Hope they are plentiful and good:eek:k:
