One explosive offensive player in 2010 class

Most teams shut down Mcluster. Why we didn't I cannot answer....

How is Markeith Ambles not a playmaker who can score from anywhere.

Some people don't think he's that fast because of his stride. He's a big playmaker though and he will prove it.

Mike Williams was not very fast and he still dominated college football. I don't think people realize how much slower college football is than the NFL.

Jason Swain sure looked fast in Neyland, but he never had a whiff of the NFL. 4.7 in college is like a 4.5 in the NFL.

Was that serious? (4.7 in college= 4.5 in the NFL?!) Now back to Swain. He looked like a strong possesion receiver while he was here. He made some big plays but he was actually faster in high school before he put on all that weight.

I just pulled that off the top of my head and have no idea what it would really be. Why what would you say.

By the way, im comparing how much your speed helps you in college as opposed to the NFL.

Have we thrown a deep post or a fly route this season? Denarius Moore is nice, but we need some explosion out there. That means being able to whip the man covering you, not neccesarily raw speed. Think L. Scott as opposed to C. Wilson. Years in the league for one, track speed for the other. But, the next 2 years could be huge for us. You will HAVE to play an 8 man front to stop BB. That means we need a tight-end with good height and two legit NFL wideouts. Put all that together, and we will be on Rocky Top soon. But, no one on the roster fits the mold of what we need. So next year may be a rebuilding year again with a new Qb, new recievers, and a reworked line. 2011 shapes up good for us though if our recruiting holds up. BB should be a beast by then and hopefully alongside a 2 year starter at Qb(Bray). Thoughts anyone?

Swain was a good 4.4 in HS when I played against him. Of course we held him to 49 total yards but that's a different story. That 4.7 in college= to a 4.5 in the NFL is backwards I think in your translation terms.

Because other teams like Bama have better talent, depth, and speed on D, and because McCluster didn't get nearly as many touches in those games for some idiotic reason.

Ambles is much faster than his 40 shows. He easily runs the best routes of any WR in this class and hes got some of the sharpest moves I have seen in a WR coming out of HS in years. He doesnt move like someone with his size, hes going to be special.

Ambles will be an instant impact guy for us. His fast, has good size, good leaping ability, good to great hands, and runs great routes. He'll be a great player in this offense for us.

Ambles is one of the smoothest I have seen. His route running is a thing of beauty and he has great hands. He has the tools to be something great. Don't let his 40 time fool you. He'll get open

He will get open and will stay open a lot. His route running will cause CBs problems everywhere. Plus you can just throw it up at times and trust in his great ball skills. I'm glad he's coming here.

Depending on who we get at RB in this class, I definitely think we've added a ton of explosion to our offense. Bryce, Oku, T Williams, Teague, Rogers, Ambles, Meline, Milton, Thompkins, Fugate and Adams make up alot of weapons. And we still have a chance at landing a Dyer/Brown/Seastrunk/Lattimore.

I think with one big-time back we'll be alright. The WR corps will probably be our deepest and most talent position group next year. I'm looking forward to next year's O. All we'll need is for the QB to manage the game.

There will be some questions on the OL for sure. I'm not really concerned though. If they can take that ragtag group we have in there now, and rush for over a 100/game I'm confident in the coaching.

That's my thing. If they can get by with the Sullins twins. I know they give their all for the Vols but let's be serious folks. I think Schoefield, Revis, Shaw, and Douglas will be better than this group next year. We really will have one real position of concern on the OL. I think James, Jose, or one of the other commits will step into that spot.

Reveiz isn't an NFL talent by any means, but he is a player. No doubt.

Reveiz is a different situation than the Sullins twins. Reveiz is actually a baller. He's just small in stature. As far as next year at OL, we will be fine as long as our current players progress and we get a contributer or two in this class.

That's a stretch... While I commend Nick on his effort, this is like calling Jamie Moyer a flame-thrower. They both get by on their savvy and intellect.

I agree on Reveiz, and the OL.

Meline is a Home run threat.

Denarious Moore is the best WR we have had in a while though. He has had a few drops but he is clutch around the end zone. He is a LOT faster than most people think, and he gets a lot of YAC

put it this way, none of our MLBs (reveiz included) could start at any other school in the SEC. Nick is very limited Physically

and I didnt mean to sidetrack my own thread lol

back to offense.
Im really really looking for a big Sophmore yr outta David Oku. IM Hoping he turns into a Charlie Garner Lite type RB.
*edit, maybe those expectations are too high, maybe Lamarcus Coker minus the kush
