I wouldn't go that far. The media are right about him more often than not, despite his cries of fake news. Yes, there are inaccurate stories that are later disproved, but they are the exception. Trump is a bulls**tter. If he's not outright lying, he's embellishing or otherwise misleading. He's like your old drunk granddad. If he wasn't president, no one would really care. They'd just laugh and go about their business. As president, though, what you say actually matters. It has repercussions. I think the problem with the media is they scrutinize every single flipping thing he says or tweets. It becomes ridiculous, because he can't keep his big mouth shut. Makes it so the majority of coverage revolves around him. Of course, that's the way he likes it. Negative attention is still attention. Keeps the spotlight on him.
A fake news organization is not going to always report a lie. In a lot of cases its what they choose not to report or how they slant their reporting sprinkled with an occasional lie. They are faking being a new organization. They have obviously targeted Trump, lowlight any achievement and double highlight any fault in a dedicated attempt to bring him down. Is this really the roll of the media to wield this much power? A very distorted freedom of the press.
Agreed. If you read CNN, the Trump administration is doom and gloom. If you read Fox, it's sunshine and roses. Opposite was true during the Obama years. Unfortunately, you have to sift through the biased crap to find any semblance of fact. Every outlet has a slant nowadays. That's why I peruse multiple sources.
Perfect example with the release of the hostages from N. Korea. MSNBC reporter claims the whole thing was staged by Trump for coverage. My god they can't even just sit back and watch the event, got to find something negative to write. Its scary to me that they have this much power. They have always been slanted to the left but at least editors tried to hide it, knowing it was wrong. Journalistic integrity is out the window.
It was so "Trumpian" to bring up the possibility of "world record breaking 3 am television ratings" just as these 3 men were literally walking off the plane. Sure, he gets his every move scrutinized but he often invites that with his own comments and lack of self awareness. What a bizarre thing to be thinking about at such a great moment.
Trump inviting criticism means lies should be accepted as truth? Thats just egregiously ridiculous. Thats what kills me about libtardation, hypocrisy is not only welcomed, it is encouraged. Trump bringing three prisoners home cant be a win for them, their families, and America, it is imperative that we not let the good persuade our eyes to looking away from the real enemy - a duly elected president and the hammer and sickle monster.
Dims are sad sacks of ****. I cant wait for 2020. Not so much for my support of Trump, but to see yall crying like *****es, again.

Uhh, he didn't have to bring up the possibility of strong television ratings just after these men had stepped off the plane. It was strange.

He's a narcissist. Everything he does is for attention. That said, sometimes good does come of it. Everyone should be celebrating the freeing of these hostages. There's no excuse for creating false stories. Let Trump have his glory moment.
I'm sure he was... it didn't make it any less strange in that moment. Those type of moments work so much better when you just let them play as drama; not comedy.
I'm impressed with the direction of the NK situation. Curious as to what really brought KJU to the table. Trumps bluster aside, I'm thinking we demonstrated something of significant power to NK that made them blink... maybe a demonstration of cyberwarfare, a weapon that could negate their nukes, or even a sign that we've got moles at the highest level in their ranks. Or... maybe... KJU just blinked... realizing the insanity of a potential war with us.
If Trump pulls out an actual denuclearization of the peninsula and a formal end to the war, I'll give the man full kudos. But... talk v. action. We ain't there yet. And I don't believe I've seen the NK demands other than US troops leaving the area. KJU is unpredictable. So is Trump. This whole thing could still blow up, but I hope not.
