Impossible to know until deal is inked and the trade can be quantified.

I thought some initial reports was China was propsing opening up its markets to American trade. Did I misunderstand?

I read that is just an increase in demand from the growing consumption for the Chinese people. On the flip side our demands for cheap Chinese good also continue to grow. Jobs from trade was the goal to begin with. It can be quantified later but right now it looks the same. That is why I said winning?

The reason for the increase doesn't matter. Any politician would take credit for that; Trump included.
It doesn't look the same if it increases, right? What am I missing?

I think you are missing the net increase in consumption from both countries. I guess you will have to wait for the quantification before you try to argue that we are winning this "trade war" Trump created. China promises to buy more means nothing when we are going to lift sanctions on a company that was helping NK before the sanctions.

Oh. I see what you're saying. Because both countries will increase, the imbalance will remain (or is projected to by some). Makes sense. Now it's a matter of time to ink deal and see actual numbers.

Hopefully that is the last of them too. I don't know if there are any more hostages being held by fat boy, but anybody taken hostage from now on should be prepared to be on their own.
