They won’t give him credit. They’ll downplay Trump’s involvement whatever way they can.

So you were... agreeing with me? I'm confused.

I'm saying KJU would be replaced by a more systematic, more intelligent man with an agenda.

He is a frantic, incompetent loon who only got the job because of who his father was.

I fear his replacement could be worse.

The South Korean economy would collapse. It would be absolute chaos .
How do you figure? I think it might be the opposite. They would have tons of unskilled labor at the ready. Labor that would work for peanuts, because they didn't even get the shells up north.

Germany after reunification is a pretty decent guide as to the economic problems that can come from combining a socialist and capitalist economic system.

However, the major difference is the infrastructure in NK is, well, almost entirely non-existent outside of Pyongyang. And we're talking basic services like water, sewage and power. There will have to be a massive infrastructure project (and the funds that go with it) just to get NK anywhere near "civilized" levels.

China knows this and while they would cheer on a peaceful reunification in public, privately they know it will or should stunt a trade rival's economy for a period of years while a rebuilding effort is underway. How long? Unknown since at least East Germany had most of the things (power, water, communications, etc) that much of NK does not have.

by the same merit it is going to take NKs a while to get used to the economy and being able to participate outside a raw labor force for them to really start growing.

So, Trump ordered assassination attempts on a foreign leader?

I doubt they would ever admit it but this is one case where it is/was the best solution. He is a one man show, not a regime and without much real support other than sheer fear. Normally another would take his stance but its doubtful anyone would in his case. No, I don't think we tried to directly assassinate him, only let it be known that anyone who overthrows him would have our backing. Let them clean up their own house.

The major problem with that is he controls the men with the guns and keeps them fed.

probably more commies. without hitler the us never would have been in europe until after stalin got moving west, and we couldnt have done the build up to fight russia.

The British and Russians could never have taken the Nazis and the Italians together. If it weren’t for poor planning by the Nazis they would’ve been in Moscow if they had waited until spring. Hell, they could see the spires of the Kremlin and then got bogged down by the winter and mud.

in my what if world if there was no Hitler, Germany wouldn't have seen the same rebound and never attacked others. or at least it would have been delayed or a lot weaker. even a year more of industrialization would have made a huge difference for Russia in fighting any German advance, especially a weaker one.

Germany was dependent on Russian oil, as soon as they turned off the tap Germanys days were numbered unless we were giving them oil. Germany also didn't have the population to face an equal footed Russia.
