One Korea ... Soon?

No one expects miracles but make no bones about it this is a BFD and for this at least Trump deserves credit.

Remind me why I should crown Red Hat God King yet? I'd mention the Iran nuclear deal, but you are just going to start rambling about nonsense.

What exactly quantifiable has the Iran nuclear deal accomplished that sets it apart from the rest of the failed Iran legislation?

Iran deal? Seriously?

Trump ending the Iran deal is a HUUUGE win for the American people.

It will happen this year.

Wouldn't surprise me if he gets Iran to de-nuke as well.

The fact that they do no have nuclear weapons, and there is an international framework to keep them from having nuclear weapons. I'm supposed to turn a back flip in celebration because NK said they'd stop pursuing nuclear testing? Excuse me for being skeptical. And that isn't a dig at Trump. Why are we supposed to just trust NK all of a sudden? Because Red Hat?

What in the frame work compels them to comply this time that’s different from the past?

Listen. I’m all for keeping nukes out of Iran. Because if it looks like they’re gonna get them Israel will strike first and all hell will break loose. But I see nothing in this current form that is unique and more compelling than previous attempts.

We have a framework that Iran and the International community agrees with. That is the difference, they (Iran) is involved.

Are you talking about the framework that bars inspections at specific locations and all inspections have to announced something like 21 days in advance?

The complete about face of Un also has me suspicious. Hope it's for real.

I can’t imagine Russia and China being in favor of this, and North Korea is their rabid dog. A unified Korea that’s friendly to the West is not something either of those countries will allow, so I’m pretty skeptical of everything.

I didn't answer your question; MONEY for Iran. Less sanctions, more markets. Why do you think the Saudis are so pissy about the deal?

Hogg already touched on my concerns. Iran is still wagging the dog on this one I believe. Diplomacy only works if all parties want it to.

Also as I said if they are about to get a nuke and wind up breaking this deal Israel will strike them anyway. Again. Like they’ve done before.

Again I’d like to see it succeed. Time will tell if Iran wants it to succeed also. With or without the US

So the North is promising to give up Nukes and give full access to their sites in exchange for the US promising not to invade NK and to officially end the war.

If this happens, Trump will be one of the most important Presidents in the history of the US.

•NK has developed a nuke capability. The labs involved in development can now be shut down. I believe they will continue to develop production facilities at a different location.

•NK has demonstrated an ability to reach Pacific Ocean targets including the state of Hawaii. The capability to reach the mainland has not yet been demonstrated. Kim "suspended" further missle tests. NK has launched the ICBM, Hwasong-15, which is a new nuclear missile capable of hitting anywhere on the planet with minor easily accomplished modifications. In fact, the launched Hwasong 15 missle could easily have been a "detuned" version.

•NK has successfully launched submarine based missles.

Kim has no intent to give up his nuclear program. He believes he is now on a level playing field because even one detonation in a populous region anywhere is unacceptable. Retaliation would occur, but the damage done by a single warhead NK first strike has to be rekoned with in any negotiations. Then Kim has said he wants to bring up the Israel/Arab question even when interviewed about any de-nuclearization talks with the US. He is greatly beholden to Pakistan for nuclear technology. He's getting more cocky, not less.
This could all turn out not like we hope for.

It's amazing to me how many are suddenly all in on trusting Kim Jun Un. I'll believe all his talk when it's followed by action.
