Some of you stat gurus will know, but I can’t imagine what Knecht did against FL wasn’t one of the greatest performances ever in a Vol uniform.

- 39 total points
- 13 of 23 from the field, starting 9 of 10
- 66% from Three on 6 attempts
- 100% from the charity stripe on 9 attempts
- 22 first half points
- 14 pts in a 4 minute stretch
- Scored the Vols’ last 20 pts of the 1st half
- Set the Vols’ all time record for most points scored in 3 consecutive games (103)

This is legendary stuff no? 🍊🏀❤️

He had an outstanding game but really I thought he was more impressive against UNC.
In this game a few assists would have been nice, and more team oriented play at the end.

He obviously comes from a good family. The Knecht's are "Simple Minded" people, according to Jimmy Dykes. I know what he meant but my wife and I looked at each other when we heard that in disbelief.

Jimmy should choose his words better.

Nice game but it's not in our school top 10 in scoring for a single game.

Love seeing him get back to form. He's special. Not sure about one game, but I bet if anyone wanted to research it............ his 7 day stretch (3 games) stacks right up there as one of the best.

Not sure how to go about getting numbers for a "stretch of games", but I'd have to think both King and White had a stretch to be remembered. Also hard to compare a stat line for a single game for players who play different positions. Bet Lofton might have been red hot and strung a few together although he won't have the rebounds on the line to compare. For an all around game, Knecht will be up there I suspect.

We are all watching something truly special and rare for Tennessee basketball. Regardless how this season ends I will still remember watching one of the most dominant scorers in Tennessee basketball history. I knew from the Michigan State game Knecht was going to be that guy, man I can't wait to see what else he does the rest of the way.

What’s amazing to me is he wasn’t this good last season in the big sky conference. His continued development is incredible and I’d bet he’s way outperformed Barnes’ expectations when recruiting him.
Just guessing but practicing against Northern Colorado team vs practicing against one of the best Ds in the nation.
STEEL SHARPENS STEEL.
