Onside kick

Post game coaches meeting at midfield, the body language from both coaches was not one of antagonism or anger but mutual respect. If Kents coach felt his team had been disrespected, he would have behaved very different.

It was an opportunity for them to work on something situational in a live game. Kent State should've recovered it. Their guy HAD the ball and somehow lost it.

Oklahoma has not played well this year, and don’t appear to match up well on either side of the ball with UT. Now they have to spend valuable practice time this week working on onside kicks because the last thing they want to do is give this offense a short field.

Who cares, but it will show them they have a flaw on their kickoff receiving team, that will help them in the future. Plus it shows our future opponents we are not scared to try it, something else they have to prepare for.

Wasn’t necessary and believe we’ll be subject to a lot of criticism for doing it.
Yes it is "necessary"! You have to "practice" these things in a game scenario at some point. That's what games like these are for.

Never apologize for doing what you have to do (within the rulebook) to make your team better....

Can't please complainers/whiners. Kick a field goal on 4th and 2, "running up the score". Go for it on 4th and 2, trying to run up the score". Throw to an open receiver, RB hit's the hole, or basically perform any "fundamental" aspect of play when you are winning; "Trying to run up the score". No win situation trying to, so just play the game like it's your last.

In college football if it’s 4th and 4 the statistics say to go for it and I’m glad we have a coach who has a pair that does this. Would you rather have butch, Dooley, or Pruitt

I'm really glad we're talking about whether or not an onside kick should have happened while scoring 37 in the first quarter instead of how we lost to Georgia State or taking App St to overtime to begin the year.

It's nice.

Not necessary, but their alignment dictated the on sides kick. They were waaaaaaay off the ball and if any other teams do the same, we'll do it again. It's football 101

Why are we making this a thing? If Uga lines up that way kick the onside right? So why is this a thing?
If we’re up on Georgia that much, and Georgia isn’t in a position to retaliate, then don’t do it. Georgia would remember that for the next 20 years.

Idgaf how long they remember it. If they’re stupid enough to line up like that they deserve it. Just like we would if we did that crap
