Yeah, thats not a typo or anything. I really thought his name was scooty. You are soo smart. So what is scooty's great talent since you want to separate his "talent" from his athleticism? Is he a great shooter? passer? ball handler? rebounder? defender? NO. He is simply a good athlete with good size and average to below average skill.

How old are you? Jeez. Its like arguing with my toddler.

I am an athletic person. I love playing ball of any kind when I can. However, I will readily say I am not the most talented ball player on the court, or field, or whatever. I may be more athletic than some, but they may have more polished skills and talent. Could I out run or out jump them? Sure. Could they beat me in a 1 on 1 game of basketball? Sure.

There is a difference in being athletic and having talent.

Stanley Asumnu was a freak athlete. Nuff Said.

Did "Scooty" steal your lunch money or sleep with your girlfriend or something?

And ive been trying to explain to you rejects that Scotty Hopson is athletic but not talented for a day now. But then you explained it for me. So I ask you again. WTF is Scotty Hopson's great talent in relation to the game of basketball? And now I like Scotty. Im not going to accuse him of being lazy and mentally weak just because he was an overrated recruit.

I seem to recall Corey Brewer being a top 10 pick and being integral to a b2b national title team. Maybe that defense he played and ability to get to the hole were made up.

Lord knows one has to have a great jumper to play ball. Look at LeBron and the great jumpshooter he is.

absurd. He's also not our SG. He plays swingman. How many great 6'7" swingmen are slashers with poor shooting ability? Maybe half of them, or more, especially at the collegiate level.

To some folks, it obviously doesn't. I guess being athletic and ability to jump, quickness, etc. just doesn't fit the bill when it comes to talent.

Hes a shooting guard. First of all your definition of great is dumb. If corey brewer was great than your right Scotty Hopson does have the ability to be a great player. The Bottom line is that Scotty Hopson's natural basketball abilities are far from special. He is a great athlete and he can work to refine his game but hes not going to be great unless corey brewer is your definition.

This is better than picking on my in-laws who swear the Pac-10 is the best conference year in and year out for football and basketball.
