After that fiasco with the law, he really redeemed himself. I think he grew up a lot from that experience.
Last season he couldn't control his energy and got several PFs but was our best player by far on D.
As far as the SCAR, I honestly don't know enough about it to make a determination.
I thought it was a mistake for him to not go bowling. Good luck at the next level.
Final Grade: B+ (not including any possible demerits for SCAR turd laying by defense)
Really? Sorry can’t let this go. I’m not buying that BS explanation at all.
Bc if what you say Is true then COY Heup and staff are guilty of gross coaching malpractice at such a crucial point in the season with the CFP absolutely on the line. Player apathy or “overconfidence” during game week would be noticeable by the staff in a myriad of ways. And moreover would be called out and FIXED.
If you and others honestly want to believe that Banks’ absence wasn’t the key reason our D went on strike vs SC then you do you.
However, why would Coach Heupel go out of his way in his SC postgame presser to address those players who didn’t make the trip and obliquely suggest they reflect on how their absence cost their teammates? (or something to that effect)
And why do you think coach reached out in the portal to bring in a mature stable 25yo leader at LB to replace Banks? Just bc he was arguably the best available LB? Sure but more important HE FITS THE CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYER CULTURE Heup is building. About as opposite from Banks as you can get.
Sorry not sorry your argument doesn’t pass the sniff test to me
I keep hearing he had not passed his grades and had no choice in playing. I do not know if that is true, but who knows. I don't .Jeremy Banks isn’t a VFL. He quit on his team to “prepare for the NFL draft” and likely won’t be drafted. He didn’t bother attending classes and wasn’t academically eligible. A VFL doesn’t get suspended for a crucial SEC game, get arrested, create a huge distraction, and then screw up after getting third and fourth chances. I appreciate his contributions on the field but he left on a very bad note IMHO.
I support Hyatt’s decision bc he is likely a 1st round draft choice. It came down to a risk vs reward business decision. I respect and admire Byron Young’s decision in opting to play with his teammates. That’s a VFL.I think being a VFL means more to some of you than it does to most of these players. They make the school a lot more money than the school pours into them. While they owe this school and themselves the responsibility to carry themselves with dignity & maturity, it doesn't always work out that way. Whether it's Banks or Hyatt, if they want to cut out early for whatever reason, good for them if they think they're doing the right thing. They don't owe me an explanation and they probably don't care what I think anyway. They're kids/young men, they receive guidance from their circle, and they make a decision that they think is best for them. I sure support that.
Good for you. Glad we're not neighbors, as I'm sure you'd Karen me. To my shame, as a child, I once pulled the antennae off a butterfly. Killed a cat. Climbed a tree and used a BB gun to sink my brother's wind up submarine. Nevermind that I'm now an animal lover (except for snake), contribute to toys for tots, keep my bird feeder stocked, feed squirrels. Being as unforgiving, perpetually hate infected as you are, you'd probably want to run me out of the state, and likely off the planet for my past sins. I'm just glad you aren't Jesus--whew, I really lucked out on that.
