The only thing Tebow rides is a bench.

He lost his spirit fingers to a gator hard to fault him for hanging up his bare ass chaps. Ftr that gator's crazy look was the result of having Meyer force share his rainbow...Muschamp walked in on the scene hence his stroke face.

I generally take anything from Kentucky Sports Radio with a grain of salt, but what exactly does this mean? Kind of funny...

Opportunity is nowhere at Tennessee - CBSSports.com

People in Kentucky are just jealous that we actually have doors on our football facility.

A pretty "interesting" post on the Dr. Saturday Blog on Yahoo today that actually spoke about Tennessee. Now i'm sure the intent of the post was to discourage Vol fans, but it sheds light to a very important question. So im going to post the picture from the Tennessee Locker Room and i want to know on first look what does it read?

this_season_tennessee_sees_opportunity_uh_where_exactly.jpg

The post can be found here: This season, Tennessee sees opportunity? uh, where, exactly? - Dr. Saturday - NCAAFBlog - Yahoo! Sports

This is my first post, would like to know what yall think! I love Rocky Top and there was NO question what it said to me!
P.s on a side not the player that is in the picture i thought was Da'Rick but i know thats right, can anyone ID that player?

Its very clearly Chris Walker.

As smart as we all know Dooley is I am surprised you dont see what the meaning of the doors & slogan mean.

When doors are closed then you dont have any opportunities but once you open doors you have unlimited opportunities.

So when the doors are closed it says " Opportunity is Nowhere " but when the doors are open it says " Opportunity is Now Here "
You sure?

It was done like this for a reason, glass half full- glass half empty.
It is how we read it. I read it is NOW HERE, Others read it NOWHERE.
It is part af VFL. (I made this up, but it sounds good.)

WITH THE DOORS CLOSED, you first read it as, "Opportunity is nowhere"

THEN you read, WITH THE DOORS STILL CLOSED, "Opportunity...."

THEN you read, WHILE OPENING THE DOORS, "is NOW HERE".

So this rhetoric of it not making sense because of the "Opportu" and the "nity" once the doos are open is retarded because the "Opportunity" is there once the doors are open and therefore you must read opportunity first with the doors closed.

DAMN WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THIS??? Posters on the main board had a field day with this y-day.

So you're saying that this mural came with an instruction manual? Because nothing that you just wrote would be obvious to anyone who isn't trying to justify a screwup.

Well, then call me retarded because it doesn't work in my mind and if it takes any sort of explaination beyond the obvious, it probably won't work for most of the players.

Also, I'm not sure what rederick means either so call me illiterate also.

Say what you will about what its supposed to say. The person who spec'd the door left out the space, which makes it a freaking optical puzzle to read what its supposed to say. This is a royal screw up for anyone involved in designing and painting it.

This isn't a screw up. At all. It's very deliberate. And it's a pretty simple concept.

How do people overcome mediocrity? Do you go after your dreams or do you wait for your dreams to come to you? Do you believe in being lucky, or do you believe that people make their own luck? That phrase is all about killer instinct. Those who seize opportunity are successful.

Really, this is pretty brilliant. I love it. Let people ridicule this. I think great leaders and achievers espouse this ethos and it should be ingrained in a true competitor.

It's not a screw up. It's a deliberate test of one's mindset.

Do you get dizzy from spinning that much? What will you say when they correct the mural because it wasn't intentional?

Obviously Dooley or someone within the staff explained the meaning behind the phrase to their players. And it's rhetoric.

Oh, sorry, I'm not normally one to correct spelling and thought that was a real word!

And I still don't get it. I believe in keeping things simple, the more you need to explain the greater the chance it gets misunderstood.

I read HSVols and all the other explainations and am completely in agreement in seizing the initiative, strategic thinking etc, etc. This doesn't give me that and I'm a 48 y/o retired Army LTC, not sure an 18 y/o player will appreciate it any more.

On the other hand, I love CDD's sign "Relentless Pursuit of Continuous Improvement." Simple, direct and easy to understand.
