You can "believe" whatever you want but it doesn't make you more of a fan. It just means you are being ignorant to reality. We all hope Milton has a great game and would love nothing but for him to bounce back after getting benched twice.

But he was really off in the Vandy game and Hyatt played that time. Vandy has a bottom 5 in the nation passing defense as well. On the other hand Clemson has a top 10 overall defense. I hope the staff can have a better game plan for Milton this game than last which mostly consisted chucking it deep. But until proven otherwise why set such high expectations?

Who heil said it made me more of a fan. You tend to badmouth Joe, I tend to express confidence in him. Somehow this pisses you off, not that i really care. But until proven otherwise - Amazing, you quote my own post but imply by quoting without giving credit that they are your words. The difference between you and me is, unlike you, I don't pizz on my team or its players. There, That's the answer to your why do I have high expectations for Joe.

You seem to imply that you are more of a fan when you state that you dare to believe in the players and team when others don't or refuse to. It's as if you think of yourself on a pedestal over those who are critical of the team and the players.

And all because some of us don't think Milton has what it takes to beat a top 10 team in Clemson does not mean we pizz on the team. Its just not a great matchup. This season has been great and one of the most memorable teams in recent history. Doesn't mean we have to blindly have ridiculous high expectations for no reason.

You got your opinion, I got mine. Now, let's see what you do with that.

You have an opinion based on hopes and wishes like a 5 year old. I have an opinion based on reality and statistics. Big difference.

Just shut up, you just want to drag a nonissue along as far as you can. Go play with your Lego kit. No point in even trying to pretend to have a conversation with a prepubescent.

Well, I guess you really drove home the validity of your argument with that post! What more need be said. Well done!

Well, OK. You got me on a bad day. I was more pizzed off at some other people at the time. Still, not really an excuse. Came back once or twice, figuring I'd soften it with an edit. Decided, what the hail, you're really fed up with the Joe-critics. Leave it be. Probably won't be the last time, when ticked off, I tend to swing indiscriminately:

So rewatching the Pitt game and Clemson is a little bit better on the Dline but Pitt definitely had a better secondary.

It's feels good to have some genuine interest in a bowl again. Clemson is used to going to the playoffs so they may not have much use for the Orange Bowl

Milton has looked good all year. You mention the Vandy game. He wasn’t bad the whole game. It’s not an excuse but the rain had an effect on his throwing. Why set high expectations? Because everyone can see the potential in Milton. The guy has arm talent like we have never seen at TN.

Wasn't that pass thrown to the faster player on the team, he had to dive and stretch out to barely catch on his finger tips because the ball was overthrown

Hater, even the best pro QBs fail to be perfect with every pass they throw. Resulting in a receiver displaying amazing abilities we otherwise might not have seen. Perhaps you can peer through the fog of your Joe Milton III hate and see examples of the truth of this.
Impossible one hand touchdown catch at DuckDuckGo

The problem with Milton is that this is the result of his comparatively “accurate” deep throws.

Wow, look at you pre-posturing to mitigate your disappointment if the Vols pull of a significant victory. Tricky Tricky Tricky.
