Somebody makes this stupid comment every week. You think the coaches are taking time out of gameplanning to pick the uniforms? You really, honestly believe Joey Halzle is on photoshop designing these graphics? There are literally hundreds of support staff who make these posts. It probably took the team about a minute and 30 seconds if that to say, “Orange on orange this week? Aight, bet.” Stop being asinine.

It’s ridiculous isn’t it? I’m the same way with the orange helmets. I bet we would’ve worn them Saturday night if we had beaten USC jr last season and everyone would’ve been pumped .

Notre Dame ‘79 and Alabama ‘82 are two big wins in all orange I recall from “back in the day”. This is a couple of years old but 60% winning clip is hardly “always a loss”

The majority of the programs you listed there have all worn multiple alternate uniforms in the last few years. Bama, USC and Texas are the only ones that haven’t . Even your beloved Dawgs have worn alternates and they even bust out the white helmets during recruiting visits for pictures.

Yes, but it's rare and not more than once per yr as I referenced in my original post. If you go to play one of the programs I listed, the overwhelming odds are they will be in their traditional uni and if they aren't it's usually a throw back deal. You certainly don't get fans complaining because they aren't seeing the traditional home unis more than or twice during the season. Heck, I'm complimenting UT on being one of the more recognizable traditional looks.

I don't see how anything the University does with uniforms makes them some huge priority or how having more than 2 detracts from anything else going on in the program. If you don’t care, go discuss a topic you do care about. Simple

I don’t mind switching up a time or 2, I just really don’t care too see it 4-5 times a year. Especially when we have the best classic uniforms out there. I never said I didn’t care. Don’t know where you grabbed that from. Sure, I do care about winning games more than what we wear. We have often wore all orange now and then. I don’t mind switching up now and then. And we seem to rarely wear our white shirt orange pants combo on the road, it’s not like we only have 2 traditional uniforms. I never said it distracted from the program I just prefer to stay in the classic uniform a majority of time. I certainly don’t mind every now and then. GBO

As was I. Remember that they warmed up in orange and white, then ran through the Power T in all orange - never heard a stadium so loud in my life, until Walter Lewis' fumble on the first play. What a day (and night) that was.

It's not my pony and darn sure not my show but I don't understand why a program so rightfully proud of their tradition would go away from the traditional home uni more than once at most per season. I've always thought the orange pants looked good on the road but it's tough to be in a Tennessee uni that looks sharper than the traditional white helmet, orange jersey and white pants with the stripe.

Not all are into the uniform switches. Penn St and Bama have done very little if any. I haven’t seen USC do much of it. Probably some more. Some do it just once or twice a year. I don’t think we should be changing 3-4 times a season either. Especially when we got sone of the sharpest regular uniforms on the planet. The main thing I care about is winning, and at this time uniforms aren’t a concern of mine there are other things that should be much more of a priority. GBO!

I took the bolded part of your first post to mean that you weren't concerned about uniforms and that you felt the attention to alt uniforms were ditracting from things that should be more of a priority.

I think you have to concede that what you said could easily be taken that way.

Either way, I guess the folks that come into every uniform thread to proclaim how little they care about them are just getting to me today. It's been a rough football week.
