Orange Carpet Weekend Visitors, Take 2

Things would get very interesting on here if we took Olenga. Not that he's not worthy, but a lot of number crunchers would start to panic about Phillips.

Nahhhh...we have 32 spots. :glare:

My boy Butch Stones is gonna keep it 100 this weekend.

Quarte Sapp
Ryan Johnson
Mecole Hardman

Wouldn't be surprised if one of D'Andre Walker, Rasool Clemons, or Emmanuel Olenga did the damn thing for the big orange too.

I'm out

With all the other DEs seemingly so interested in Tennessee, I wonder if CBJ may be in a position to push for an earlier commitment from Kyle Phillips? 1 DE spot left.

With all of the quality guys still left on the board, and the limited # of scholarship spots remaining one has to think that Bruce's commitment might get yanked. Preferred walk-on??

More than likely. Woods and Bruce likely are gone. I think some other guys will be recruited over as well.

I think Bruce is a Vol. Only 1 IMO in question right now is Woods and only if the grade issues are accurate. I guess IF we see CBJ start yanking instate kids offers/commitments, I'll see it as a possibility going forward. As of now, it's just * gazers hoping for a couple more *'s and not caring how they come about.

I hear you. It will be very interesting to see how the #'s play out. I believe 25 total is a safe # to bet on. It is actually quite nice having the majority of our class "committed" prior to Fall camp getting kicked off.

no possible way you include Bruce, woods, and Reid IMO with such a loaded recruiting year. Gray shirt woods and Bruce and let reid tote the rock somewhere else. also, 27 is the number. simple math my friends.

Obviously you haven't met LV.

If Butch pulls offers from instate kids it will send a bad messege to coaches around the state.

They wouldn't have accepted a commitment from Reid if they didn't believe that he had the potential to play here. He was an early commit and a guy who hasn't been to a lot of camps. I expect for him to produce during the highschool football season and raise his stock the old fashioned way.

I'm not saying reid is not capable... if Arkansas and Wisconsin offered then I'm a full believer. my point being, RB is honestly not a position we should accept over CBs or OL/DL recruits. we just signed 3 and with kamaras commitment, we should be fine and sign 2 next class. something has to give and I'm logically thinking RB is a position we can turn a player away at.

Okay. Logically, none that we signed have produced on the field. Yes, 5* do bust from time to time. With it only being July a lot can happen. I'm happy with taking two 2 HB this class.
