"Leaders from those communities have advocated time and again for equitable graduation standards, along with expanded learning opportunities and support."

And they will do that by making sure you're too lazy to keep up with whitey.
Lowest common denominator..........

The reasoning in the article is way out of bounds and makes no sense. The logic is pathetic.

@VolStrom asked the other day “why is it every video we see is black people causing mayhem and not white people?” Uhh may have something to do with the fact that you exclusively consume crazy ass articles like this one and don’t think critically about them at all

Anyone who takes this article at face value is dumber than the Oregon kids they’re fretting about. Parents could always opt out of these state assessments anyway

Ashland School District opts out of state assessments for the year

Different storyline. Parents having the option to opt out is not the same as the State/Governor of Ore., deciding forego students to demonstrate they have basic life skills they spent 12 years in public education to acquire, and consuming taxpayer money to come to the end of those 12 years as proficient as they were when twirling their diapers in the air.

A quote from the article:
Boyle said in an emailed statement that suspending the reading, writing and math proficiency requirements will benefit "Oregon’s Black, Latino, Latina, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Tribal, and students of colour."
So it helps pretty much everyone except whites then.

And where did I consume something I shouldn't, that's not spelled out in the article?

"This article is legitimately insane in a way that should be obvious to a 10-year-old"
"Here let me quote the article for you"

I agree with Boyle's rationale. The sooner you get kids out of the public school system, the better they will be and the more you've helped them.
