Oregon of the south ?

Alabama doesn't use gimmick uniforms to attract recruits and produce winning program.

Uniforms don't equate to winning or losing. Uniforms equate with school identity, and we already have over a hundred years of identity.

This is such a tired subject.

And alabame is such a tired answer.

Does anyone think that it's possible that nike may come out with a smokey gray helmet, glossy or matte finish, with a big orange power T on the side?

I think some of you may be taking this Oregon of the south thing literally. The recruit was refering to Jersey's and whatnot, nothing more.

Most of our recruits, including legacies love the switch to Nike.

Funniest part about it?? Nike could hand out ***hsia and lime green polka-dotted jerseys, with the Power T in baby blue......and there's not a d**n thing that could be done about it. Welcome to the school not having a say because "you're under contract, you have to do it".

To hell with Nike.

Ut needs a little change, in the uniforms for sure. You guys gotta admit that a chrome helmet with a power T on it would be awesome to see every few games. Oregon's were really cool.

Lol that is one thing I actually don't want to see. I haven't seen a chrome helmet I have liked on anyone yet. I like the idea of a matte gray with the power T but idk what it is about chrome helmets. I just don't like em

Ohs nose. Polka-dots?

Too bad we didn't sign with Converse, I guess.

if Nike is going to make us the Oregon of the south, does that mean we will be getting Oregon type cheerleaders?

You severely underestimate the stubborn, granite will, grudge holding, corn fueled anger of Tennessee folks when you go one step too far on something they really care about.

Take a nice hard look at our orange. We were flashy from the beginning. Our colors are not exactly traditional when you think about it (except to us). I mean we are not red, blue, navy, and gold or any of the other run of the mill colors. Mix it up a little. Our tradition is ostentatious swag.

It was my understanding that the contract put us at top contract level with Nike, and uniform control remained with us.

I see what you did there.

You severely underestimate the stubborn, granite will, grudge holding, corn fueled anger of Tennessee folks when you go one step too far on something they really care about.

No, I don't (I know quite a few Tennessee folks). However, I fail to see where that's germane to the conversation. Care to elaborate??

I don't care if we wear flower patterned kilts with pink thongs under them as long as we are kicking a@# on the field. Just make sure that there is a giant orange T on the helmets!
