Oregon to target Pearl?

Why has Tennessee not switched to Nike then ? Seems like it would for sure help with some of the recruits that that kind of stuff matters to.

Do you really not understand the difference between Oregon's connection to Nike and that of any other school? Us switching to Nike would only result in us coming out in some special blue and green uniforms for the Bama game next year.

I would totally get Pearl leaving for Oregon, because with a solid coach that can be an excellent place for success. I mean, Kent was not that good of a coach and twice almost went to the Final Four.

Just an interesting side note though: If you are Bruce, why would you leave your biggest ally with the Pump Brothers? The Pumps are his biggest ally and helped land him the UT job. Going to Oregon would probably destroy that relationship. I don't know if that risk is worth it.

Going to Oregon would be trading the Pumps for Phil Knight. Good trade for Pearl.

Not impressed with Berkley at all. Never been to Eugene, but cannot imagine it being much less impressive than Berkley.

Berkley: San Francisco an easy drive north - Central Coast an easy drive south

Other than that......not too much. Hippies are cool for a day or 2, but the allure grows old quickly.

I completely understand that. But would you risk having an excellent relationship with the Pump Brothers for an unknown one like Knight? Maybe, Maybe not.
