Just because the NCAA recognizes one as worse doesn't mean it actually is worse. I'm sure many coaches across the country cheat in some ways to get better players. That's bad, but in my opinion, it's not as bad as taping a teenager's conversation and using it to rat out another program.
Hat doesn't really seem like bending the rules really bothers him. However he's made it pretty clear he considers snitches to be subhuman.I have no clue which one is worse. But Pearl isn't the only coach in the country who lacks ethics. Ethics just doesn't seem to be the reason Hat bases his interest in coaches.
You think Johnny Majors did all of the heavy lifting that made the Tennessee football program what it is?
And this is just my personal opinion, but I'd rather live with a bunch of far right, bible nuts then far left, tree people...That's one of the main drawbacks to living there. I didn't want to spend 1200 dollars a month for a small studio apartment.
when you look at what 500k buys you there compared to say Knoxville. It's a lot to give up.
Majors "heavy lifting" put UT in a position where the 90's were possible and Fulmer didn't have to actually build anything.
The Bay Area is expensive but that doesn't mean Berkeley is a nice place...this is even more true for Oakland
Just think about sports. There are examples out there.True. I think Majors could have won a title but maybe I stand alone. Either way, Majors is a decent example, but not really what BPV was talking about. BPV care to chime in?
Got any other examples to help illustrate your point?

According to Jim Rome Tennessee is the "girl" you have a one night stand with, but USC is the "girl" you settle down and marry. So what kind of "girl" is Oregon? A hooker or stripper maybe? Although his comments were on the football situation i do not think that Oregon has anything to offer that Tennessee does not.
I simply checked their records...I didn't know when they switched conferences. I don't know too much about what happened before I was born. If you're right, then Beamer is a perfect example.VT was pretty bad... Especially when they were still in the Atlantic 10

Yes it does. He improved them from where they were, but he isn't going to be winning national titles anytime soon. That's exactly what BPV was talking about.Yes, they were bad and Frank Beamer has made them very good compared to what they were. It still has nothing to do with what BPV was suggesting.
