Players don't choose one college vs another because of uniforms.

Night Owl did and you backed him up. I can't really blame you though for bragging about winning a fashion contest, cause that's about all you guys have won. It's not like you can brag about your 100+ years of winning tradition..cause you don't have it. Why don't you ducklings come back in about 100 years when the records get a little closer. And your cute little unis SUCK. The Tennessee Volunteers will be back, and will once again building on our great accomplishments, and storied tradition when your little flash in the pan program will do what everything that is based on image and not substance does...disappear. I bumped this thread originally to call out Droski. He conviently has sidestepped this conversation. I guess I won't hold my breath for him to admit how wrong he was about Oregon.

Too bad about UT's bowl game, I think you guys got hosed. Looking forward to seeing many of you in Eugene in a few years.

I might be a little late on this but better late then never. Here you go:

It's a pretty consistent finding. A lot of recruits Oregon has picked up have specifically cited uniforms as one of the (many) things that made them want to come to Oregon. I know a lot of fans hate them but they are made to catch the eye of 17-22 year old football players.

For arguments sake... Let's just say Oregon beats Auburn in a week.

Here would be our respective resumes over the last 15 years:

Tennessee: 143-59 (.707). 1 National Championship. 2 Conference Championships. 15 Bowl Appearances. 3 BCS Bowl Appearances, 1-2 record.

Oregon: 140-58 (.707). 1 National Championship. 4 Conference Championships. 15 Bowl Appearances. 3 BCS Bowl Appearances, 2-1 record.

Oh and for the record, I very much like and respect Tennessee's program and think Dooley will bring you guys back sooner rather then later. I think the game in Autzen in 2 years is going to be a knock down, drag out fight between two great teams.

But still, when (not if) you get back up the mountain ... odds are good we will still be there.

Im kinda lost, where is Tenn's 3rd BCS bowl coming from? They played in back to Back Fiesta Bowls going 1-1. Unless you're counting the Orange Bowl the year before the BCS started

Are you serious? Im surprised they arent doing better. They are about to play for the national title. They have the best facilities in the country. They have legendary uniform combinations, that most players like. They have the sexiest cheerleaders. A pretty famous stadium at this point that looks pretty awesome. They run an unstoppable offense. Oh yeah they are about to play for the national championship. How are they not in the top 5?

Pretty sure oregons record is like 32-6 over the bast 3 years. Not sure why you would make that up. You dont have an extremely passionate fan base either.
