Aaand you completely ignore where I called you out for putting words in my mouth.
We faced two top-25 offenses (also faced USC and ASU, 28th and 29th, respectively).
I count 2 if we're going by yards per game. And Oregon allowed 31 and 29 points to those two teams. Other than that, the teams weren't that great. Allowed 32 to USC who was 28th. Stats don't tell the whole tale. Level of competition is a factor also. Count in powerhouses like Oregon State who was without their best WR-who scored 20 on you, and struggled to score 14 on powerhouses UCLA and the great Washington State; you allowed Arizona state their 4th highest point total, mind you-they only scored 41 on 1-AA Northern Arizona.
We've got an above-average defense. Nothing special. End of story.
If you played in the Big XII, Big 10 or even had to play teams like Arkansas, Alabama, South Carolina, LSU, Mississippi State- then you wouldn't have this "above average" defense according to your statistics. Half your schedule was crap. Including UT with a quarterback hardly capable of playing D1

Seriously, you are on some serious bs with this.
The stats you are so hell-bent on bringing up are skewed as Oregon's D plays longer and for more snaps than any other defense in the county. They also defend desperate teams that throw more often.
And cmon with the "if you were in X conference" garbage.
36-3 record over the last 3 years. 2 conference championships, a Rose Bowl appearance and a NC Title (at best) or game appearance (at worst.) Trendy uniforms that are consistently voted best in the country by players (I know, most fans hate 'em but we're talking about an 18-year recruits perspective.) Excellent and proven coaching staff. Extremely passionate (and loud) fan base. World class facilities that rival any NFL team. A billionaire sugar daddy who also happens to own one of the largest companies in the sports industry world.
Yep... Utterly baffling that anybody would want to go there.

SI Player's Poll
That just proves what I always say, teenagers are stupid. Does anybody even know what your school colors are anymore? You got 5 different shades of green and yellow, black, gray, carbon and lord knows what other crap combinations. Uniforms should be just that, uniform. It's football not a frickin pansy swap meet fashion show. Puke.
