Not only are college offensive schemes usually much more complicated but if Charles plays the traditional TE role then he will be playing on the line against some of the most talented players in the country who have been in a top notch S&C program for at least a year...

And let's not forget what it means to be a TE...from an impact standpoint...

I mean...when was the last time any TE made a 2-3 game difference...let alone as a true freshman...

I would love it if you're right(assuming he makes that impact here and not at UGA or USC) but it's just unrealistic to think that a true freshman TE is going to make that kind of impact

I just got off the phone with my daughter who goes to Plant HS. (Seriously) She said the word is that he's going to UGA because he and Aaron Murray were close.

Unfortunately, she's a Gator wannabe. But it is cool. I've told her for a long time that she would make a great sports journalist. She would go with me to Knoxville to see UT-uf and talk smack at 9. She knew (knows) her football and is confident about it. I'm proud of her.

It has nothing to do with your daughter. You should be proud of her.

It was more about the fact of you calling her to find out about a recruit that I found a bit lame...

I talk to my daughter multiple times each and every day. Does it not seem rational that I would ask her about a high-profile recruit from her school?

What you call lame, I'm damn proud of. We talk about everything.

I know its bad that he hasnt talked to Kiffin in a while, but i remember about a week ago he said in an interview he had been talking to Chaney a lot, but who knows i think we still have a really good chance. The comment about us wanting to win in a different way than USC and UGA made the phone comment kinda go away

Previously he said he had been talking to our staff alot, now that he isn't is what I think is a bad sign.

Obviously it could be spun other ways, but if I was picking between 3 jobs, and I stopped calling one of the employers... well, I think the implications are obvious.


I would love to be wrong though.
