Other Games: Tonight is the night...

This get it into the post at all cost coaching that Dawn and Holly seems to insist on their team running really is destroying their respective teams (outside of questionable coaching) you have players who can get up and down the floor yet you're stopping your team from getting out in transition because Wilson and Coates has to get their touches. The mismatch is Kaela Davis against Samuelson and Dawn seems to not see that

I don't think so. She is a 5"11 center that is just a lot quicker than the other teams bigger post player, she is athletic tho.

Quicker and can outjump any of them. I can't think of a single player who can match her stat line with points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.

Kaela's been on the bench for awhile.

Gabby Williams is going to finish with a career night.

SC needs to rebound in the 2nd half.

UConn post players... 29 points. South Carolina post players... 16. Odd.

UConn's posts are doing a great job of creating their own shots tonight.

Bianca Cuevas cost them big. She was MVP of that run by UConn to finish the half.

I also have to call Bianca out for that terrible flop to end the half. That was vintage Duke flopping. No one even came close to her, save the invisible woman that knocked her on her back.

I feel like South Carolina almost might be trying to play too slow. Oh well, we'll see what happens in the second half. Maybe Coates & Davis will get going along with Samuelson & Nurse. I want to see more points. I am not a fan of slow basketball.

How can Tyesha Harris consider herself a basketball player when she can't shoot a basketball? They aren't even bothering to guard her and she just dribbles. Did she grow up idolizing Andraya Carter?

Dawn needs to put Cuevas back in... warts, flops and all. The offense has completely stalled with that "defensive specialist" on the court.

Dawn has it tough with Harris. She keeps the team calm and organized but she basically has them playing 4 on 5 on offense. The cushion she is getting is unreal. I give South Carolina props though they are ticking to the game plan Dawn gave them. In years prior they wouldn't have. For real though... I wish she would let those guards loose. I mean if all you can get them is a corner 3 as the shot clock is expiring I don't know that is what you want.

She is just a lot quicker than the other bigs & she is altheltic outside of that she doesn't have any skills she can't shoot or dribble on the perimeter. She is only good with the uconn system, gabby Williams is just another Nina Davis, good in the post but terrible when they have to play guard. She won't be good on the next level.

FSU 59 UT 49 after 3. Brooke McCarty single handedly keeping UT alive.

So terrible that the two longest winning streaks in WCBB will end after tonight.

If we had McCarty (from Texas) Holly would stop her from running with the ball and quick shooting! Make her wait on Mercedes and throw her the ball instead of shooting the three! I think she is averaging about 25 points... I hope she lets the incoming freshmen play the game with their skill levels???

At one point for about half the possession Dangerfield was guarding Kaela.... they didn't even try and post her up? Instead they run her baseline for a 3?
