Other Games: Tonight is the night...

What happened to Jeff Walz? His teams usually look way better than this. Louisville fans bashed Holly on their board and said what a waste for top recruits to come to Tennessee, but Walz is not looking so good either. Louisville has talent also, but they don't look so good right now.

No Myisha Hines-Allen, who is their best player. Not the game you'd want for her to be out with an injury.

Without her, not a lot of experience. Talent, but you want that upperclassman leadership.

ND throttles Louisville 85-66. Sure had a big game for Louisville, who was without their best player for the game.

Oh well, when we have injuries no one has sympathy for us. Louisville has multiple McDonald's All-Americans on the bench.

If Tennessee lost a game without Diamond, of course there would be an asterisk next to the loss. When you use injuries to Andraya Carter or Jordan Reynolds as an excuse for losing, you know you're grasping for straws.

Watching UCLA at Stanford. Man oh man what I wouldn't give to see Jordin Canada in orange as the LV point guard. The LV's have a point guard named Jordan, but there the similarity ends.

By the way, the PAC-12 is pretty good if you haven't seen any teams play.

I saw UCLA lose to SC. Along with Canada, Billings is really good. Washington is also really good.

I agree, but when we lose key players other fan bases are like you still have a bench full of McDonald's All-Americans. Tonight I don't think Hines-Allen would of made a difference. Louisville seemed out of sync.

Hines-Allen wouldn't have made a difference, but I think she would have cleaned up some of that choppy play. ND still would have won because they are a better team.

Last year, Tennessee could have afforded to lose anyone except Mercedes, Bashaara or Diamond. They had a lot of equivalent depth at the other positions.

Texas leading Baylor on the road 23-16 after Brooke McCarty sinks a 40 footer at the buzzer.

In this game and the ND/Lou game, I can't help but notice that the post players have their hands up waiting for a pass when their guards attack the paint. Tennessee can benefit from seeing how it's done.

Do you remember against Georgia when DD pulled up for a shot at foul line! And she threw the ball to Mercedes under the basket? And Mercedes is still looking up at the goal for the rebound and the ball just goes by her head and she never saw it !!!!!!
Another turnover by DD... and who's fault was that?
My high school coach told me to hit my teammate in the head if they turn their head!!!! IT WORKS ! Only had to do that twice. The second time he finally turned around and a bloody nose did the trick!😜

That's what made me think of it. They should know that Diamond likes to fake shoot and pass, and it's going to come at them like a bullet. They should know to look for it by now.

I've noticed the same thing. Sometimes when DD has the ball and the shot clock is winding down I think Holly should come out on the court and ask the other players for their tickets -- because they've turned into spectators, watching -- like the rest of us -- to see what miracle shot DD is going to try and pull off.

46-44 UCLA over Stanford on the road midway through the 3rd quarter. Great comeback by Stanford after being down big.

Lauren Cox hasn't showed me anything this year. Maybe she will breakout next year.

She was outmatched against Holmes tonight. It's hard for her to really get in a groove with all of the posts in Baylor's rotation. Speaking of, it seems Beatrice Mompremier went front starter to DNP. Wonder what that's about?

I know one thing: Having a good point guard change all dynamics of the game. Canada for UCLA is a game changer. She's very under control and smart. Her teammates know how to get her the ball as well.

She also knows how to control tempo and when to attack. She's really good.

UCLA looks poised to wrap up the upset vs. Stanford. Billings, Canada and Korver were impressive tonight.

If the lady vols had a point guard like her they would probably be undefeated right now.
