Other Games: Tonight is the night...

I will agree with you on the help side defense. They have no understanding of defensive rotation. Actually looks a lot like the offense...... move once and then stand and watch! Or is it stand and watch to see what happens then move?

I think they try and switch sometimes in man but then they don't switch back quick enough or not at all and if they get spread out it's basically a guaranteed shot at a lay up because no one is afraid to go at Russell and half the time she isn't even in the paint anyway. Diamond seems to be able to make up ground if she gets blown by she can recover fast enough to still block the player from behind without fouling sometimes but the rest of the team not so much.

There is no flashy in women's basketball if the comparison is the men's game. The difference in athleticism makes it practically a different sport.

Do you think the Lady Vols are flashy?

Exactly! Men's BB is all about athleticism.... and above the rim at that. Totally different game. Back in the UCLA GLORY days dunking was banned for 2 reasons. It gave Alcindor an advantage of going over defenders and it was not a fundamental part of then "pure" basketball.

It still isn't which is why I only watch women

Mizzou leading SC 58-56 with under 3 min to go. SC has missed 4 FTs in a row.

Unimpressed by the Gamecocks to date this season.

Kaela Davis with a charge in a tied game and A chance for the last shot. Mizzou with eh ball in 20 sec.

A Mizzou win hurts Tennessee in SECT seeding.

MVP for Mizzou is Kaela Davis. Dumbass with an offensive foul because she had to have her points instead of passing to Wilson who had Porter sealed in the post.

I was thinking the same thing. Davis should of pass the ball to Wilson or hit the midrange shot. Oh well, I don't think they get a #1 seed.

This pretty much kills it if MSU takes care of business, unless Texas beats Baylor tomorrow night. Maybe if SC wins the SECT.

If only she could beat FF caliber teams like Arkansas...

You must feel some type of way regarding my post??? 😂😂😂 you didn't get to holler out "Fire Holly" today huh? It'll be okay Amb, I'm sure UCONN has a game coming up that you can go salivate over my fellow Lady Vol fan!!! :)

Hmmm, you're obsession with UConn is unhealthy. You should seek treatment for that.

Since you clearly haven't been paying attention, I'm not on the "Fire Holly" train because I know she's not going anywhere. I mean, she'll continue to lose to SEC and NCAAT bottom feeders and Tennessee will remain irrelevant ton the national scene, but she won't get fired. But I'm sure that makes you thrilled because Holly will still be HC.

Maybe one day when she has 15 McD AAs on the roster, she might get Tennessee ranked again. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞

TAMU and MSU tied at 30 after the first half. Victoria Vivians fouled while taking the rare horizontal 3 point jump shot, and hits 3 FTs to get to a tie.

Syracuse up 43-35 on ND at the half in a good exhibition of offense and shooting by both teams.

Dawn did get badly out-coached today. Mizzou stuck to their game plan -- they packed it in and literally gave SC anything they wanted from the outside -- and they couldn't hit. They also took Coates out of the game -- she had two point on one shot.

Mizzou wasn't spectacular with their shooting, and they had 21 turnovers. But they way they were packed in let them out-rebound SC and -- after trailing by ten --they had just enough for the win.

Mizzou is 13 -1 at home, and the loss was by a single point. If they win their last two games (Ole Miss and Alabama) they'll finish in the SEC Top Four (they hold the tie-breaker with A&M and KY), quite an accomplishment for a team that lost two of their six top players before the season started.

Mizzou has definitely gotten better as the season went on. Even in losses to Tennessee and MSU, they had their moments.

If Tyesha Harris doesn't learn to shoot between now and the NCAA S16, then I predict another early loss for SC.
