Didnt Georgia nearly beat you guys?? So looks like SC next game is a rematch with Georgia, except this time the game is inAthens. Also, Tennessee, @Kentucky and @TaM, plus another game at home with Kentucky. I think you guys lose at least one of those. SC should win SEC regular season, but i like MSU to win the SEC Tourny

I don't think they've upgraded the backcourt at all. Gray is good, but she isn't Tiffany Mitchell. Davis is still the chucker she was at GT. Point guard play remains unimpressive. Sessions and Roy never put up huge numbers but they were seniors, glue players, and team leaders who along with Mitchell knew how to run the team....

First game without Wilson, and two starters playing with the flu(against UGA)...We are still not a team that goes all out against lesser opponents and that is a concern...but for the most part we bring our A game when it counts. If we lose a game from here it MIGHT be @ Kentucky...but I don't see that. Tennessee has WAY too much talent to count them out of any game....but they seem to play timid and discombobulated at time...I like our girls pissed and with something to prove...UGA will get that in Athens....but like I said...all these teams have flaws that could do them in on any given night.

LMAO RIGHT!!! When I seen the chicken's comments, I was sooooooooooo ready to blast him/her, but I see my fellow boarders....ones I don't like, and ones I do....put the chicken in its place rather quickly....I had to hand out so many "likes" lmao

He mentions geno in his response, and the funny thing is, he's the one acting like a geno fan. It's the connors that come over to this board and complain when lady Vol fans don't fawn over geno. And here's chicken over here complaining that lady Vol fans didn't fawn over their team's winning. Who exactly is acting like a geno fan?

South Carolina is playing way below their talent level just like we are. I think SC should win the National Championship with three top five players in the lineup and huge center Coates. I realize that Davis hasn't really been a top player for them offensively so that could be the problem. They did win tonight but that loss to Duke proves they are beatable on the road.

Or defensively... and I think that's the real problem. You can stay on the floor if you are having a poor shooting night but are going all out in other areas of the game. The shooting touch should come back but she has got to work harder on defense.

Yourself ... we (Tennessee) have the luxury to look back on the most successful women's basketball program ever and can answer this. We have put some of the most talented rosters on the floor at one time in the country and still have lost. Why? We beat ourselves. The most recent coming to mind is the home game against LSU when we had Parker and our 2 time national championships. We got killed on our home floor. Was LSU good? Absolutely! Were we the better team? Not that night. South Carolina had that lost to Kentucky @ Kentucky, so it actually has happened to you guys. And I was also one thinking SC will probably be the NC's this year. It would be great for SEC to bring home the NC if it's not us.

And when you say ... "stop hating on South Carolina's success" ... The success is Dawn took a bottom dwelling team and made you a NC contender. But you haven't won anything. SC is a great program at the moment and you are the best team in the SEC. That's great. Hands down, can't deny. That is successful. I think what your after, you just won't find here on the home message boards of Tennessee. We recognize what the current situation is, and we respect you have the best record. We respect what Dawn has done. And few SEC trophy's doesn't really do much, at least for me, to stand back and be in 'awe' right now and drool over. Many of us here at Tennessee feel we have the best roster to take down anybody in the SEC, unfortunately it's just not being utilized in the correct way. If our players were putting their best efforts out on the floor at at all times, and had someone demanding that they do it, I think their would be no need for this conversation.

Don't you just love when people on message boards start backtracking and blame it on being drunk like that's a badge of honor or something. I'm no teetotaler but I've never understood the pride people have in proclaiming being drunk or going to get drunk. I would think that would be something you wouldn't want to brag about.

I would also add that all the alcohol did was cause him to drop his pretense and "let me be polite while I'm here" facade and let his true feelings come to surface. "Loves the Lady Vols" my @ss!

It is hard to believe that the refs did not help SC out a hell of a lot. Mystery calls most even pointed out by the broadcast team. I did not look at the final stats on the number of FTs MSU got compared to SC but I will bet more than 2 to 1 or more. That team of refs( which usually screws us big time) got MSU last night. MSU would beat SC in Starkville any night of the week. I would give anything if our ladies played half as hard as MSUs every game.

The refs handed the game to USC on a silver platter, especially at the very end of the game when a State player was mauled by 2 USC players and no foul was called.
