When you say it like that, I can't help but want Bummer to win. I pretty much agree with everything you said.

HOWEVER, just ftr, I'd rather take a kick to the coin purse than say those two words. I won't cheer for them or sing that song they sing about a Tennessee saturday night that they desecrate by adding their own stupid lyrics to.

I will just laugh, no matter who loses, knowing that there will be many tears shed amongst either fanbase that ends up in the L column.
Yep, there fallout will be epic on one side or the other. Can’t lose on that one.

Good news. One of them gonna lose. Bad news, one of them gonna win. Takeaway from OP - We will meet Bama undefeated for the "game of the season".

Here's another scenario. Based on UGA's showing against Kentucky, they have already showed a chink in their armor. I think they are the weaker team, however Bama hasn't been tested.

I'd like Georgia to win this one, and we beat them both. Plus I live in Alabama. If I lived in Georgia, maybe a different take.

Would rather both (Georgia/Us) be undefeated and beat them in their own house. Have the Dawg fans walking out of their stadium in the same form and fashion that the Sooner fans left the stadium. Would be very sweet to win one in Athens with that spotlight on.

Don’t want either to win, but I think it may be better for us if UGA beats ‘Bama. Georgia still plays at Texas and at Ole Miss before we come to town, and Alabama has at Tennessee and Mizzou at home. The Bulldogs and Tide could both have 2 losses and knock them out of the SECCG.

Best case overall is we win out, but beating Georgia in Athens is a tall task. Thus, I estimate 11–1, which would likely put us in the SEC championship game against Texas or Ole Miss.

UGA beats ‘Bama, loses to Texas & Ole Miss, beats us. 10-2.
‘Bama loses to UGA & UT, but beats Mizzou. 10-2
Mizzou loses to Alabama, and may drop another. 10-2
Ole Miss needs to lose at least 1 somewhere.
Texas undefeated or only drops 1 against someone other than Georgia.

An 11-1 Tennessee would then be in the SECCG for a potential CFP bye or at least the #5 seed and easiest at-large path.

Never. I say again - Never.

I have generations of family passed on from this blessed Earth who would rise from their graves and kick my ass if they heard me say those words.

I get this sentiment completely. I’m 65 years old. The only times I have ever rooted for Alabama was when they were playing Notre Dame when I was growing up. Everyone around me hated Bama fiercely but we hated Notre Dame even more. They were the spawn of satan to us.

But those days are gone. I ain’t rooting for either Bama or Georgia in this game because I want to beat them both— roughly and with extreme prejudice.

If the Soviet Union still existed and had a football team, I'll pull for them over UAT. Sorry, ugly uniform cheating bastards.

I think we have a better shot at beating Bama at home than Georgia on the road, for that reason I’d rather Bama win.

Then we just have to hope Texas beats Georgia and we get Texas in the SEC championship game, playoff spot already locked in.

*assuming we take care of business in our other games*

I completely understand, and appreciate the hate for Alabama. That said, I've lived in Georgia since 1999,and there's not another team I want to lose more. Even before their "back to back", they talked like they were bama. I legit have friends who think they'll never lose another game while kirby is there, even after losing to bama last year. (Cause they didn't lose, the refs cheated). I have friends that legit think that the ncaa is going to strip Michigan of the title, and give it to them, because nobody could have beat them. I hope bama beats them by 3 tds, then bama can lose every other game.

Living somewhere plays the biggest part, I j just posted similar, except I'm in Georgia. I never hated Georgia football until I moved here, and they won the sec. They're unbearable, but i can see people like you hating Bama more

This reminds me of a story from years ago. How many of you remember this?
John Ward would call out a particular running back that was on the opposing team against UT. During the postgame call-in show, a lady called out John Ward saying that it was unprofessional for him to be calling the running back the "enemy." Remember who this was?

Eric Bieniemy of Colorado!

There are various ways to look at this. Bama losing would likely allow us to move up to #4, but if Georgia loses in a game against another top 5 team, they may drop no more than 2 spots, leaving us at #5. But obviously it would be better for our SEC Title goals for GA to lose, then we would control our own destiny.

It's always painful to lose to Bama, and especially Georgia (Kirby Smart is an insufferable, arrogant, assh###) but to me, the WORST is to lose to Florida.
